Adobe Audition is a solid program for recording & mixing vocals. One of the main reason I still use Adobe Audition to make music after 10 years is because of their VOICE EFFECTS. A lot of programs require you to buy plugins to achieve a good mix. With Adobe Audition you can get great quality vocals with just their vocal settings. Adobe Audition is big for podcast & radio. Podcast & radio is all about vocals, most of their effects are made for vocals, that's why I love Adobe Audition, my only focus is vocals & Adobe Audition has awesome vocal settings. Adobe Audition even has an Autotune effect that sounds better then a lot of the plugins out there. In this video ill be going over everything you need to know about Adobe Audition to get started recording some high quality vocals with just Adobe Auditions vocal settings. This is really helpful though I have just one problem. Everywhere I go I see people suggesting that you just use presets and go from there. Almost every preset online costs money and the generic ones aren't universally useful. If you don't have a video explaining preset elements, what they do and when you might wanna use them then that would be probably the most helpful video on this topic.

I just discovered this and it seems like it might be a real answer to my workflow problems. I’m always editing in a third-party suite and then find that asset into a doll like garage band or logic. But with Adobe it looks like we can do file editing, like with Audacity, and yet still MultiTrack. That’s cool, but you know how a lot of times the more features a product has, the less quality there is? So what I would like to know is, is the tracking portion just as powerful and good as GarageBand or logic? And is the file editing just as powerful as ProTools or audacity, or what have you? Please respond and I don’t mind long answers. Thanks y’all! Are there is one more question, do you think is better to just do the entire adobe environment with all the apps? And I think this is a monthly fee right? So is it worth it?

You are a good teacher. Thank you for posting, as I just started using Audition yesterday and wouldn't have a clue without your instruction. There is a slight lag between tracks that I hear during playback - Is there something I missed during set-up that could cause this?
Thank you, glad I could help! Hmm. You should be able to fix that in your audio hardware settings on Adobe or in your computer audio settings, are you using a usb mic? Sometimes that happens with usb mics, in that case I would download ASIO4ALL. This helps your computer communicate with connected audio devices and provide low latency recording.

When I export my song it is not merging track 1 with track 2 , I’ve tried different things, and sometimes it just downloads the beat, and has the lyrics in a separate file. How can I have it download the song in a whole, and not separate it when I export the song?

Your vids are super helpful! One thing I'm struggling with is how do you record while listening to the music without re-recording the music. It's driving me crazy. Unless I mute the music entirely, when I record my vocals, it records the music too and then I can't move the vocals around or add effects to just the vocals. Thanks!
Thank you. I have my music on a separate track. Music on one track, record on another track. It should be pretty straight forward. As you see in this video. I have my music on one track, I record on another track. Then to move the tracks around just click them & move them around with your mouse. Add effexts on the left on under track effexts.
@@KelliMusic I’m doing it the same way you are doing with separate tracks. But when I record the vocals on the separate track, it records the music and my vocals. I can mute the music or click on the s - solo button on the vocal track, but then I can’t hear the music while rapping.
@BookLeagueStorytime I have no clue what’s going on, never seen that before…try restarting Adobe maybe? That seems like a glitch. If the music is on one track & your recording vocals on a separate track, it shouldnt be recording your music? Never heard of that or saw that in the 10 years I been using Adobe. Maybe it’s something in the internal settings in Adobe Audition? I’m not sure :/

If your using a usb mic, try downloading asio4all. That should help with the latency. Also make sure your audio settings in Adobe match the audio hardware settings in your computer. Thank you 🙏

I do have one question though; whenever I do record, I can hear the music coming from my headphones through the mic and I the mic is already turned down as low as I can hear. Thanks dude I’m trying. Your always gonna hear your music bleeding through your headphones, that’s normal. Even in songs that have millions of plays. If you listen to gods plan by Drake when he pauses the beat for that “I only love my bed and my momma” line, if you listen close you can hear the beat in the background from before they removed it…Try to get closed back headphones, may help a little bit.

Make sure your wires arnt touching. Make sure to cut and fade between vocals & if you still have noise, there’s a few noise reduction effects in adobe you can use. May do a vid on it in the future, we’ll see.

Hi, I'm using Audition CS6, but would like to know if you can answer this question for me please - When saving (Save As) an Mp3 file as a Flac file, it does not save (write) the ID3 data with the file, such as Artist, Album etc, with the new Flac file; data that was there in the Mp3 file. Even though the checkbox for doing that is checked in the Save As dialogue. Any ideas - PLEASE??
