  • Hey everyone!
    This video is kind of all over the place, but I wanted to touch on the high yield topics that I get asked about the most. I tried to keep it under 5 minutes, but that did not happen!
    Here is the adapter that I was trying to explain, it is 220V and a must for the island. It is #2 on this link:
    iamattila.com/c...
    I guess I should have worded it a bit better in dealing with the local culture, but it's best not to argue, as they are quite set in their ways. I was more agitated with the bank ladies as I have used that card at the bank before, and all of a sudden this new rule randomly arises. Not okay for Canadians. I hope this part helped a bit in that regard.
    As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!

    Hey I am also a Ross student and this is a helpful video. Buying adapters on island can be a little risky. I would bring adapters from home because with my adapter my cellphone charger still kind of burnt and my cellphone would over heat. Having capital one is very good and I got charged no fees and you dont have to worry about closing the account when its time to leave island. Straying away from the Ross housing portal definitely not advisable

    Love watching your videos! Can you make a video next on what the deans list is? How many students get on it every semester and what GPA you require? etc
    Do you or your friends use ANKI? Please make a video on how you studied during your first 2 years at Ross. Do you make notes directly on the lecture slides or in a separate file or how?? Please make a video on the most efficient way to take notes. Thanks!!

    Thanks, Emma, for your awesome advice. Really helps ease the anxiety of studying in a foreign country. Quick question about the adapter. It looks like the website you provided doesn't specify the name or brand of the adapter. Without that info, I'm not sure how or where to purchase the device. Help please.

    • @FromD1toDr
      @FromD1toDr  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No worries, glad I can help! It doesn't necessarily have to be this specific adapter, as long as it is a 220V adapter (that converts the usual north american 120V). A lot of apartments have different outlets, but having a couple of these adapters are amazing (and a lifesaver).

    When exactly was your last semester on the island? Also, after you found out you passed COMP did you immediately sign up for Step 1 and that's why you got a mid February date? Finally has your method for studying for Step 1 different from comp?

    • @FromD1toDr
      @FromD1toDr  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My last semester ended in August. After you pass COMP there is a ton of paperwork you need to do to be able to sit for Step 1. You are SUPER early to worry about this right now! I know you are eager, but get through 1st and 2nd semester first at Ross then start using your FA and pathoma. COMP is 2 years away for you (if not more), and there are a lot of hurdles to get through before even getting to comp, so take a breath, focus on what is at hand and when it's time to get ready for comp, THEN put your energy into it. That is my advice :)

      @@NaturalNumi and @D1toDr; I bet both of you are done by now either with the whole program or just with the whole island experience. Honestly, looking back, what would you pick between MERP at Ross and an admission at Sgu for this upcoming fall21? Which one is family friendly?safer? Easier to match within the us? Hope to read from you very soon. Tia again for these timeless videos.

    • @FromD1toDr
      @FromD1toDr  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am Canadian, so getting a loan is vastly different from US loans.
