For some reason I believe this is what we are all suppose to sound like when we’re all in harmony with each other. Everyone has value regardless of race, color, religion or creed, our World could take a lesson here. Thank you...🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I am sobbing my heart out. I sang in this choir in 1986. (later edit: I sang in this choir, not this song). I am 59 years old. Most of my thoughts of late have been "feeling a little bit low", and here you come and lift us all up again. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Danke.
Just think. The greatest choir in the world is a bunch of twenty-year-olds. And think too what they show the world about the strengths and potential of South Africa. And don’t forget that even before Andre van der Merwe made this stunning arrangement, Jerusalema had become something close to the world’s anthem, not to mention a worldwide dance phenomenon of historic proportions. Thank you South Africa. You are stronger than you know. Land of Music and more.
This is indeed the world's best choir. A choir where you can hear all the voices come together as one to produce such magic. The tenors and altos are just amazing. As always, the sopranos and the bass never disappoint. Absolutely fantastic 💯💯💯
Dear South Africa. We hear so much about South Africa's many great problems. But you are stronger than you may know. The fact that this choir, the greatest in the world, is both so diverse and so excellent, shows that fact. South Africa also has many other strong and successful institutions in many sectors. They and your young people are your country's promise.
If only the leaders in SA can understand that working together will be the beginning of a country that works for all of its people! How wonderful is the sound of this South African choir!
@@raphaelsphesihle4622 You understand things well. I am sure you are among those working to make things better. There are many institutional strengths to build on.

The sadness of this is that it doesn't go on forever and is lost through time. These young people will age and go their separate ways. You wish that this time would last forever with all the members of the choir retaining their youth, beauty, and harmonious glory. God bless you one and all that you devoted your best to this glorious music.
I just sat here and cried while listening to this song...thank you Lord Jesus. You truly are my closest friend...You have always been there for me, and I cannot thank you enough.

My son makhado is studying in stellenbosch university and I am a big fan of this university and I am following each and every activities: choir, news, events, etc. I love stellenbosch university soo much and day and night I thank God for this opportunity to be part of it.
Thank you to the choir and the conductor for blessing us again. We missed these musical renditions from Stellenbosch University during this Covid-19 crisis.
TH-cam's algorithm landed me here. Decided to listen since i LOVE this song. I'm so glad I did! What an amazing performance! Was happy to hear it's a South African choir. Love from Kenya 🥰
As a avid choir lover and an absolute fan of The Greatest Showman, this gave me goosebumps for days!!! Saw André work his magic when he was with the SA Youth Choir and they came to perform at choir festival in Potchefstroom. I was part of the Northwest Youth Choir back then. Still one of my favourite conductors and musicians. Thank you for the magic, André and the SUC.
Let's just say it! This is what South Africa is about. Being the best at the best. May these wonderful people represent who we are as South Africans. Beautifully and powerfully united in our diversity. Together we are amazing.
LOVE the male voices in this arrangement. So nice to see all of you on TH-cam again!! Glad you found a performance venue that works during these pandemic times!!
1. I found your choir through your amazing Baba Yetu video, and I'm glad to see you're still active! 2. Love watching your choir director work, his joy is clear in every motion, as is his pride in the choir. 3. I love how this piece works, in terms of using purity of tone with a softer volume. It grabs my heart.
The dude just standing there staring at the conductor the whole time, not singing, not swaying, no feeling... nothing! Cracks me up! I feel like the performance left me wanting more though!
I discovered this choir at the height of the covid pandemic in China. I had just moved there. This choir kept me alive. Thank you for lifting me out of the darkness. Welcome back. We had missed your bespoke renditions of so many great songs. Also, if I could do life again, I would go to uni at Stellenbosch, if only to be a part of this choir. Thanks, André, and your phenomenal choir.
Your music is for peace and freedom for our world. So many things are complicated but the answer may be simple against hate and pain: Music for our souls and hearts. God bless you all and thank you for the joy you are still given us all over the world! Nelson Mandela would be surely proud of you!
The original theme was the first song that put my son to sleep in my lap, a week old. Today, at the age of 3, he still gets dizzy when he listens to this song. Your version in this choir... makes me vibrate, get goose bumps, drop a tear. Thanks.
I’m in tears. What a stunning rendition. Thinking of my Late Brother Mervyn Solomon who conducted the Stellenbosch University’s Wind Band on occasions. Covid took him but the memories never fade. Stellenbosch University Music Department you are all awesome. Keep up the great work.

Can we talk talk about those BASSES??? The fullness, softness yet power and control shown are unbelievable…they sound like a track
Sometimes they manage to sound like a plucked cello
Most guys can do baritone
Yesssss I was amazed lol the softness but yet so full and rich
Man oh Man what I would do to be part of those basses. They sound eclectic
