I love that shin,but yeah you are right that 550 sounds wicked!! quick question the 550 has the "nylon caged crankcase bearings?" will 346 bearings work in a 550, I'm surprised the aftermarket hasn't made a steel bearing like skf, much like the x-torq and non xt 372s!! I‘ve heard run a good oil 40:1 in the 5 series saws as the crank stuffers apparently shield oil getting to the bearings. Sounds like they are bastardized bearings that only OEM can supply now. Keep the chain sharp so heat does not transfer to the bearing and melt it. And gut the muffler to get the heat out. Just like an automatic transmission tow vehicle, heat seems to be the killer. I just learned recently Stihl is now using nylon caged bearings as well?
15:05 I've had that happen on all my larger 5 series huskies, thought it was because of the drive sprockets as it was better with some compared to others.. but as you turn chain it goes loose-tight-loose-tight as it spins. Its weird and hasnt gone away with use. If you have a fix please share it as its confused and annoyed me for awhile
Stickers sounds mean, maybe it’s just the speaker but sounds like she pops a little in the wood. Think timing is advanced a little far or have you played with it? Good builds!

It's pushed to the edge it's very picky on the tune an just 5 deg in temp can make ot pop or not

There's plenty of fresh green wood vids I took down some fue weeks ago
I been cutting and splitting fresh green the past 4 weeks now and I can tell you it's not fun cleaning piles of sap off of my saw every day ☹️
