Traded an old Murray riding mower for mine. It didn't want to idle when I got it and I've had to richen the low jet since to get it to smooth out. Love it.
I just cleaned one of these bad boys at work. Looks like no one had touched it in years. Changed the air filter and rebuilt the carburetor. Runs great now.
I just bought a 029 super on FB marketplace for $60 in good condition. I put a new bar and chain on it and it cuts & runs perfect. I really love my 029. Great saw!
I have 2 Stihl chainsaws and have had them for many years and have known many people with them and you just can't really kill them. Best investment ever made. Glad to see you got your 1st Real Stihl love back.~
I love older saws, especially the OLD saws, like McCullough and Poulan from back in the 60's and 70's when those were still good saws instead of the junk they are today. I currently have two...a Stihl 310 (predecessor to the current 311) that I got in 2009 and a Stihl 193T (smaller and lighter for us old farts) I got in 2018. Both are great saws.
One day I am going to buy me an older saw. Never have run one. Just have to figure out a good one to buy I guess! I have a 193T also I bought for limbing in trees. Gonna have to adjust carb on it because it's a little boggish when I hit the throttle. Haven't used it to much. Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
@@homegrowncountryhomeplace A 193T is a great limbing saw...actually a climber's saw...but since I get nosebleeds above the second step on a stepladder it's just a great old fart saw for me. My 310 wears me out FAST so about all it gets used for is felling and bucking.

just got mine tuesday 7/2/2024. saw wouldn't idle long because the carb was too loose - set for 6300 ft above sea level at Lake tahoe. love the power. bit too heavy for me as a noob, but it's great!

Those are good solid saws. Still have mine from back around 96.

I feel you all of my first tools I keep but after I get multiples the others don’t seem as spetial

I "Stihl" have my first chainsaw sep'n it's a Husqvarna. I also have a Stihl and I think it's the same one you have. I'll have to do a video on them.
