- The young and talented Dhrupad vocalist Pelva Naik performed a short bandish in Raag Hindol Basant as her concluding piece at the FEA organised Gayatri Festival on 18th March 2016.
She was accompanied by Pt. Sanjay Agle on the pakhawaj and by Dattatreya Ghenand and Prakash Naik on tanpura.
There is silence flowing through the audible vibrations !

Hindol Basant is a traditional and popular Raga in Dagar Vani style of DHRUPAD. Specially this music needs more time to express the peace behind each Swara.
Love the rendition..... specially the pakhwaj anga.

Indian classical vocal always go alongwith तबला it gives more enjoyment to us.
There r 2 most popular forms of Indian classical music.. which is dhrupad and khayal.. tabla r used in khayal and pakhavaj is used in dhrupad..

She seems like fighting a war here, honestly. It does not bring much peace to my heart, unlike most other Hindustani classical performances. Especially around ~5:45.
