I do not like fade I had short hair it was short on the side and the top was super short I did not want my hair to be a fade and now i have long hair and one reason why I do not fade is because they are overrated ;)
Fade's are overused, i used to only have fade's but i grew my hair out (sick n tired of going to the barber 1 time a week) fades look ''clean'' but when every other dude has one it's just not that interesting anymore

that was the most technical mullet I've ever seen done. the way they did it in the 80's was just take a razor on the sides and a number 5 on top. this looks like an actual decent haircut. super great barber, did an awesome job. And btw Mullets look way more rock n roll than most of your dads haircuts

I don't care what anyone says, I completely unironically love that look. Too many people getting hung up on the word "mullet", and not taking in the style as a whole. People were complaining about all the skin fades, well now we have something bold and different. I think it looks great, especially paired with Eric's current beard style. Chachi is another phenomenal barber too; one of my favourite to watch. Fuck the haters, this was great. Keep on mulleting
You'll notice that the comments are less about what the mullet looks like and more about the claim that it has somehow suddenly become (or is imminently becoming) popular again.

I know it's polarizing, but I honestly unironically love it. It's more subtle than the standard mullet of the '80s and this may have convinced me to go the way of the mullet after I get over the chrome-dome phase I'm in right now and grow my hair back out.
I actually do think that it looks great. The Mullet of 2018/19 is NOT the mullet of 1988---there is a continuous flow in Erics hair from front to back, that bares little resemblence to the abrupt 'Business in the Front, Party in the Back' of yesteryear. Chachi Becker did a great job. We know that you look good with a fade or high-n-tight, and you can always go back there if you want. I rock a mean bald fade.....some 4 million views worth (make moves on Carlos Denim clip....watch out)....but have enjoyed the change of my shag. Will I keep long hair, probably not, but it's a fun change.

I think the reason the mullets were cut like that was because they were meant to grow out for a few months before they looked good. The infamous one is actually just what it looks like initially, and not when its all grown out.

if you didn't said that was a mullet nobody would be complaining about it, for example look at Yolandi from Die Antwoord, she has a mullet almost since the beggining of her career, but nobody says anything cause she didn't said "hey, look, i wear a mullet guys!", people are just hating on the word because they've learned to, i wear a Viktor Tsoi style of mullet and so far i've just recieved compliments, even from mullet haters, it's just that, i don't say it's a mullet and nobody hates it, kinda simple

The funny part is the hypocrisy about "be yourself" o "be authentic" and when someone doesn't follow the ideals of "being authentic" of the mass, they just attack it.

I had a mullet in the 70s when i was at school.. didn't this style come about with people cutting their own hair, fringe and sides but couldn't cut the back, so it just grew.. know thats how i got mine and ended up looking like David Bowie in his Ziggy stardust phase
