Going off of your end discussion I think it's really cool that the show gave the villain his own villain if that makes sense. Like yes Jhao is also hunting Aang but it's clear he mostly exists to go up against Zuko and make it easier for us to root for Zuko during the scenes where the writer's clearly want us on his side. Has this sort of storytelling ever happened anywhere else?

Great reaction guys!
I agree with your point on the pacing. It does feel a little too quick.
With Zuko I think it would be better if he was injured in the ship explosion and passed out.
Then his former crew find him and secretly take care of him for some time before the invasion.
It would fit the immersion a bit better, giving some conclusion to Zuko’s crew and extending the time gap (for Zuko to heal to his current condition and for Katara to learn waterbending).
Zhao in the meantime could still be waiting for the rest of his ships or smth.
