Five years have passed and still keeping my fingers crossed for a second season.

the flashback gets me, nowadays it reminds of so much from that time in my life (when I saw the show). My dad still alive and all that. Mixed emotions with the show's ending but also, later, how the passing was a blessing given the brave fight against MND my dad did.
I remember watching the show when I was a kid, watche every episode EXCEPT ONE LAST EPISODE. I literally watched everything and was left on cliffhanger when she denied to be an avatar and went to help her friend and for some reason they never showed the rest or maybe I missed it but no replays nothing after. I got internet after 5 years or more and forgot about the show and now I watched the ending, kinda feel sad that I was unable to saw this when I was fully invested in the show and I would not rewatch it cause dont have time and dont feel that it would be enjoyable enough

I know right this was an amazing show I was a bit skeptical at first but then I really got into it. I didn't watch it growing up as I was in high school at the time but this was s great show to watch at that time especially since it was right after robot chicken at 12:00 am I changed the channel every day to jetex to watch this show it even though I didn't watch it when I was a kid it still takes me back to the good old high school days especially hearing the ending song.

The ending is great, I couldn't imagine it being very different, but everytime I watch this episode I feel pretty sad because of Jordan. She just has a normal life after all that happened, she doesn't seem to be sad, it looks like she wants to forget what happened and it makes me sad somehow. I think that stuff could be different. so, the thing that leads to Canaletto's defeat and his very undoing is when he underestimates Jordan's love for his so-called "pawn", Eva, and becomes the new avatar in her place! it's too bad, but I suppose Jordan was trying to put Eva first when he did that!
I remember when this show first came on and I got bored and quit midseason. Then I came back in on the last hour and a half episode... I was do enraptured by the episode that I stayed up to 3 and 4 am every night just to catch an episode. I wish a season two could happen but there wouldn't be a great race of Oban or anything like that because that'd be 10,000 years later. I'd like to see a universal race set up by Don Wei inviting all of the racers Eva befriended.

Not too shabby an ending 7.42/10 +Resolved every major plot point and not needing sequels to explain (Maybe Rick's new life, though outside of that, not much else) +Satisfactory and logical conclusions. +Gave a sense of change for each character. +Does inspire a sense of missing the series. -Felt rushed during the final battle. +Initial writing complaints mostly rectified. -Minor head-scratch at Eva's incompetence. -Retrospective story thoughts observing several Deus Ex machinas (episode 15's near-death by falling, episode 12's near-drowning, episode 22's ending and the final's battle outcome, though that can be argued to be a Chekov's gunman scenario) -Retrospective observations concerning the brevity of dialogue and timeframes between major events. Ultimately, I'm glad to have watched this series again, and I did enjoy Eva as a character along with her father's character arc, though the writing is solid, though not without interpretive flaws. to say Eva's mother had to die and scar her entire childhood just for the sake of Canaletto being released from his much-deserved prison proves that Canaletto stands for anything except purity! I suppose when he *was* the avatar, the power that came with being the avatar went straight to Canaletto's head and inflated his ego so drastically, he gained the idea to use the powers of the avatar for his own selfish reasons! that's *exactly* how *corrupt* Canaletto is! he's anything *except* pure!
I want a boyfriend like jordan!! I had to cry at the end when jordan became the avatar. ;,) such a good anime. If only there was oban star racers 2.....still crying tho for jordan :,(
