Some things are better left unknown. Many things are left unsaid or undiscovered about the creatures and the worlds, and I don't even think the characters in the story actually knew what happened. It would be better if they did make a sequel but it will probably never happen, sadly.
Shapoot the story was all about the race and the relationship between daugther and her father then went on to include her crush and race partner the other racers all had very little back story but what little there was it is rich in detail sul was sent into a trans dimensional portal in other words he was sent to another universe where he could no longer interfere in the race or be connected to it
Verry true. not to mention does Molly ever see those other Aliens again? does she and Ika become a thing? does she ever see Jordan again? Does that bug thing ever find away to unite with it's loved one? Would there ever be another Ultimate prize ?

Even Better, Canaletto is inspired from things like Lucifer, the Avatar is like a god and Canaletto wants to become a god. Canaletto is also a little like Amon, Eva is like Kerrigan and Jordan is exactly like Jim Raynor, while Sul is like a protoss(even Tassadar or Adun). Also, the current avatar(Satis) looks like a type of Yoda from Star wars.

Plus, he shot her with the arrow in places she could still get back up, even if she would lose the race. Falling down that pit could have killed her and that is a much different thing. Like lich erdor said, he still cares about her.

Save the World productions is in preproduction of a possible sequel to the series. Not sure where there is left for the series to go though.

Purple Realm! Actually he is really banished. Canaletto could not kill Sul so he banished him at another dimension

Ergo Proxy I found rather obnoxious. It was full of basic philosophy 101 garbage. Watch one philosophy lecture and that entire anime falls apart.
