Maybe the robot/ai who makes the human is glitching and different so it disagrees with the other ai. So it makes the human as a kind of chosen one to fight the ai.

Ye-ahhh same, but it's not the tropes that need to be original, but the way they're carried out.
Plus, Mistborn def be having "overused" tropes, but that doesn't deter from the story and offers a solid base for the characters to grow from. It's actually a pre-tty good ex of how tropes ≠ bad. I only point that out bc... well, I did XD

I've got one: a bard, down on his luck, turns to necromancy in an effort to become immortal. He succeeded, but centuries of undeath have broken his already weak moral compass, and now his only drive is to use is knowledge of dark magic to put on "performances" so that he can always be the center of attention.

Here's my interpretations of High King Arthur P. Hawkwing's emoji pitches (5:10)
    Anarchist alien from the Moon
Astronomer who ends up doing journalism
Three monkeys in a trenchcoat who hide a chicken in their top hat for nefarious reasons. Or for Stuart Little reasons.
A buff guy who owns and runs a media corporation but doesn't know how to use a calculator and instead uses an abacus. Despite this, he's very successful.
Engineer whose goal is to build a rocket on her own to escape Earth.
Talkative robot engineer. Yes, as in they're a robot, and yes as in they engineer robots.
Detective hired to solve an embezzlement case, with some time pressure.
Astronaut who sacrifices herself at the end of the movie to save Earth from being Alderaan'd.
A robot and a weelchair-bound human who are in love. There's tension, probably from outside their relationship.
Scientist who figures out a gene therapy application for helping amputees adjust to their prosthetics.
Aliens who come to Earth to steal call bells.
A world traveler who has volcano powers.
A heist crew: a traditionally trained ninja, an astronaut, a robot, a telemetry professional, an ex-military paratrooper, and an alien.
A character who's used as bait for alien invaders to get them into a trap where this character infects them with a super-plague.
    A vehicle expert.
A mad scientist who hatches a plan to plunge Halley's Comet into the sun.

I really like the "Weekend at Bernies sidekick" idea. I could just see it. The Hero dies during a mission (either because of a stupid chance or because the Sidekick messed up big time) and then the Sidekick just goes around pretending to be the Hero because he feels super guilty or because he doesn't want the Hero's legacy to be tarnished. In the end the Sidekick is actually recognized as a Hero in their own right.

part 1 has my character start as a hero and fall in love and face a conflict i havent figured out yet. the character is sort of a ball of rage that bottles it tightly, until it bursts and they kill their love interest. part 2 has them face the guilt that that brings, and the fear that others see them as a monster. they distance themselves from other loved ones and become more and more volatile, violent, and callous. part 3 (which could be combined with part 2, it is just essential that the pov switches) switches pov to a one of said loved ones, who has to take down the previous pov character because they have fully become the villain

I’ve had an idea for a character for a while as well: a long dead skeleton waking up in the middle of a field with no recollection of his past or who he is at all. Traveling the world with just the clothes on his back trying to figure out the world around him as well as himself, while also desperately trying not to scare people with his appearance.

I think I've encountered a graphic novel series that's kind of like that. It stars a skeleton bard (non magical variety of bard unfortunately) and his mute slime buddy and features a song about a man traveling to Epoli. I wish I could remember the title but its been a few years.

I had an idea for a story a while ago while thinking about words.
Illiterate little Russian girl in the eighteenth or nineteenth century is lost in the wilderness and finds a ruined abbey. Inside she finds an undead monk who helps her find her way back to civilization while also teaching her speak, read and write in Koine Greek.

I was thinking like, a fantasy concept in which the character is the bad guy or a bad person. Their births are forseen as bad. And in this world there is like a mythical concept of a tree in the sky where everyone s lives and past lives are a single branch that usually grows in a linear straight path but if a person does something shocking more to the evil side the branch can bend in a way after their deaths them in their new life can travel to any moment of their previous lives that they already lived. What do you guys think?

Referring to "Battlebitch's" comment, there's a manga similar to that called "Goblin Slayer". It's a story where an adventurer only hunts and kills goblins despite having the rank and skill to takle much higher level threats. The adventurers reasons for only killing low level goblins are both personal and very logical. It's not the best written but I find it very entertaining to read.

5:00 isekais (Japanese light novels) that do this stuff are amazing so I can fullheartedly agree with this. The thing is, the author has to do a tonnnn of research and thinking in order for the story to make sense but the result is so worth it.
A concept that mix the two also exists: the kingdom builder, where you have intrigue, action and administration

If you like the idea of the pitch where the protag bumbles through "chosen one" missions with multiple mentors trying to manipulate and/or help him throughout the way, might I suggest the Penric and Desdemona short stories by Lois McMaster-Bujold.
And as for the suggestion of an insane protagonist, maybe try Delusion's Master by Tanith Lee.

    • @robertblume2951

Penric might the most chosen one, chosen one to have ever been chosen and in none of the conventional ways. Also sort of LGBT friendly depending on how you view Desdemona. But I wouldn't say his missions are ever chosen one missions. The world of the five gods doesn't really work that way.

The 1920s prohibition aliens reminded me of a book called "Iceworld" by Hal Clement. Haven't read it since I was like, 12, but the basic premise is that alien smugglers have been trading platinum for a pack of cigarettes with farmers on earth. Cigarette smoke apparently causes an addiction in the aliens that is so strong that even one puff gets you hooked and the withdrawal symptom is death.

I also use my son's comments as good idea's for dialogue cause some of what he says just makes me stop and go blank or make my head spin lol

This needs a part 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 etc.
Also my pitch, if anyone cares, is about the lone survivor of a group of heroes who save the world from a dark god by sealing it behind a portal. The survivor is cursed so that no one remembers his name or face at all. Everyone he ever met in the past has no memory of him and anyone he ever meets in the future forget him within days, even his family forgets he ever existed. Obviously this leads to some pretty serious mental issues for him and he has to deal with that while searching for answer to his curse. Also a rather well connected cult is trying to search for him, though they don't really know who they're looking for they just chase these rumours over the continent trying to find whover it is their leader wants.

Alright, I'm not fluent in emoji, but from what I can gather, the pitch at 5:14 seems to be about a woman (I think) who sees aliens as a child and attempts to get back in contact again, with various adventures happening along the way. Obviously it's my interpretation, so if anyone has a different interpretation or a correction feel free to chime in.
Below is a play-by-play of each line and my interpreted meaning:
    Aliens on the moon
Young student sees, observes and highlights aliens on a floppy disk
She attemps to bring this knowledge to the world through various means (scientific, government and business) but fails because they either don't or won't listen or are too chicken to go through with the idea
She decides to make a movie herself, gets calls and makes bank
Learns to build a rocket ship to leave the planet
Designs a robot that can speak
Unfortunately, her search for life leaves her drained of funds
After a run-in with some more hostile aliens, her ship is left damaged and cold, and the injuries she sustains lead to her death
The robot is in distress, as the only person he knows and love is dead, and so he works hard on something to mend his broken heart
Through science and genetic engineering he manages to resurrect the woman as a cyborg (not an android; get to that later)
    Meanwhile on Earth, aliens attack!
    Destruction of national monuments ensue
The woman and the robot return to Earth under stealth, re-entering the atmosphere and, unfortunately, being captured by aliens
But was it an accident? It seems they've been infected with a myriad of deadly Earth diseases, and as the aliens have no immunities (as an android the woman would not be infectious). The aliens die
The woman and the robot finagle the cables of the alien ship, and get in touch with Earth; they make landing in the ocean
Using the knowledge she's gained and the power of the alien tech, the woman averts global warming and saves the world one more time; everyone celebrates

    - POV character is a terrified scribe who follows the heroes on their journey and must decide whether to intervene in moments of crisis or simply play narrator to someone else's story.

I don't think I got the chance to do this so I'm gonna just drop mine here: old wise wizard type shows up in a community just as monsters start to appear, but instead of leaving, the protagonist(s) say "fuck that, we know how to fight" and actually organises the local villages into a pretty effective army to defend the region, so much so that neighbouring kingdoms come to see them as a threat.
