Yeah, true, indeed the last factory was gone around these 10 year. Susie, In short, Diamond Hill is the real Hollywood - the first place to use Hollywood as the place for film maker. I mean the Hollywood in US actually fellow us to use this name around100 years ago. The history has been documented. And the funny thing is that the Hollywood trees were in Hong Kong Central (not in Diamond Hill) where they planted the trees around a road in a hill. The founders of these film makers were indeed from Shanghai. There are so many stories related to Hong Kong, China and British.

Glad that you enjoy visiting HK. I lived close to Choi Hung before I moved out from HK. So I used to visit Sai Hung every month, there are some very nice cafes (just in some inner street), seaside walking path, hiking and camping sites. Sai Kung is such nice place to go! Thanks for bringing back memories of my life.
Stressed, exhausted, OT, stressed, exhausted… We don’t go to sleep when we have to lol we go online and we are not tired when it is time to sleep lol The cycle repeats everyday, we then get tired the next morning or even for the day. You could get the Hong Kong style milk tea in UK by using 2 or 3 bags of PG tea in a tea cup and then add evaporated milk. You could add sugar if you want.
To deal with the SIM card, you may follow these steps: 1. Use your phone to scan the QR code on the SIM card. 2. Your phone number and ICCID (a 20-digit number) will appear after scanning. 3. Take a photo of your travel document and upload it for registration. 4. Now, you can use the SIM card.
Why do you need to register your document to use a SIM card? Already started tagged where ever one is with China tracking? Where is the freedom that was promised ? And this is only to a traveler? Hey Susie, as a local i wish u can try the peak tram in Admiralty. It’s one of the historic facilities in HK. After arriving the peak galleria, u may shop a while and go straight up to the Peak Garden where u can enjoy the whole picture of Central and Victoria harbour. Cheers🎉
As a supplement: if you do visit, make sure you take the tram ride down the hill in evening/ at night. The view will be astonishing and I am sure you don't wanna miss.
Lol Lego discovery centre😂😂😂 You should have got a ticket for the cinema at the space museum. It is indeed an experience watching those science related films projected on a dome ceiling, while almost laying down watching.

If you stay Tsim Sha Tsui, it'll be more convenient to take the ferry/MTR to Central and take a ferry to Cheung Chau Island. It's more cultural things to look at and little hill to climb.
The music that you mentioned in the video is for blind people. It's either an indication of a map's nearby (for blind people) or that esculator is near. Yes it might be annoying but it's functional.
Hker in Uk…. Hope you enjoy the trip. Our homeland was amazing. Next time if you are late (2pm) in sai kung, you can get a ticket to ride on the ferry at the pier. The boat trips are amazing and there are a variety of routes. It will be a fantastic trip with lovely scenery. The stones and landscape by the sea is world class.

Hey Susie, in Hong Kong or Mainland China, we usually wash chopsticks, spoons and other dishes in a big bowl containing slightly hot water in order to kill bacteria before using them to eat dim sum, rice, noodles and seafood. Also, the seafood in Hong Kong is nice and tasty because Chinese people know how to clean and cook the seafood before consuming them. Moreover, Mong Kok is my favourite shopping place as there are great variety of Hong-Kong styled snacks like bubble waffles, curry fish balls. In addition, I like visiting Hong Kong Space Museum because its shape looks like a half of pineapple bun.

This city is no longer the same, compares to ten years ago. Anyone could be arrested if you say something bad about this government or CCP. Anyone is on the edge nowadays, worry about their own safety or police will come in the middle of the night to take you away. They are all under so much stress. AS of MAY 2023, Canadian government warned its citizens NOT to visit this city. They are all AT their own RISK if you want to go.

re: rinsing your place setting with the hot water (I had to think about how to translate that in my head for a brief moment there.) So that's a LONGGGG practice since like....the 50's and 60's. (My late grandparents used to do this moreso than my parents.) But the idea is that stuff in Hong Kong isn't always necessarily so clean, even after you've cleaned it, so the idea to rinse off any residuals. Of course, even after my grandparents had emigrated, they continued the practice despite things being generally cleaner in Toronto. Old habits die hard. Some habits never goes away.
Short trip in HK is great but not a long stay here. It is too crowd and stressful living here. Susie, you wore a grey long sleeve jersey. I have the same one. I bought it while I studied in the UK, ie, decades ago from M&S. A very comfortable jersey and special letter 'C' in red with other materials. Many things to be explored here, enjoy!

Susie, 你在西貢碼頭看到不認識的那種海鮮，香港人叫 象拔蚌（Panopea generosa），所謂「象拔」即係象鼻，因為樣貌似。切片後可以炒、火鍋（半透明厚度在滾水面輕輕拖一下就行）、魚生（sashimi）。另外在西貢碼頭吃海鮮，是相當貴的。建議你和地道的香港朋友一起再去食海鮮，她們應該會更懂得點餐，味道會更好。

I would suggest M&S Extra Strong (blue box) + Morrison full cream evaporated milk (Closest to black and white cow evaporated milk I can find)
They use carnation milk for tea

以前我每天都會經過鑽石山， 現在我也在英國了。想行山 hilking的話還是The Peak 山頂比較推薦， 由黃昏行到晚上一個多小時， 香港夜景超美， 人很多很安全。

After arriving the peak galleria, u may shop a while and go straight up to the Peak Garden where u can enjoy the whole picture of Central and Victoria harbour. Cheers🎉
As a supplement: if you do visit, make sure you take the tram ride down the hill in evening/ at night. The view will be astonishing and I am sure you don't wanna miss.

要短距離爬山（香港廣東話：行山），香港島很適合，因起點及終點都近市區，兩、三小時已經可以完成，可以試試步行上太平山山頂，而且比西貢容易；西貢行山要早上起程才安全些，西貢遇然有失蹤事件發生，獨行真的要小心些。
建議你可以去大嶼山大澳（漁村），同一天可在附近行山、亦可到附近的沙灘。

If you stay Tsim Sha Tsui, it'll be more convenient to take the ferry/MTR to Central and take a ferry to Cheung Chau Island. It's more cultural things to look at and little hill to climb.

Next time if you are late (2pm) in sai kung, you can get a ticket to ride on the ferry at the pier. The boat trips are amazing and there are a variety of routes. It will be a fantastic trip with lovely scenery. The stones and landscape by the sea is world class.
Absolutely agree with you in relation to the music in MTR stations. And some of the announcements as well, telling passengers to hold the handrails etc; a nanny state is the last thing one wants…🙄

There are a lot of hiking trails in Hong Kong, like 龍蝦灣/蚺蛇尖 (西貢), 龍脊/西高山(港島), 千島湖/雞公嶺 (元朗)

Hey Susie, in Hong Kong or Mainland China, we usually wash chopsticks, spoons and other dishes in a big bowl containing slightly hot water in order to kill bacteria before using them to eat dim sum, rice, noodles and seafood. Also, the seafood in Hong Kong is nice and tasty because Chinese people know how to clean and cook the seafood before consuming them. Moreover, Mong Kok is my favourite shopping place as there are great variety of Hong-Kong styled snacks like bubble waffles, curry fish balls. In addition, I like visiting Hong Kong Space Museum because its shape looks like a half of pineapple bun.

This city is no longer the same, compares to ten years ago. Anyone could be arrested if you say something bad about this government or CCP. Anyone is on the edge nowadays, worry about their own safety or police will come in the middle of the night to take you away. They are all under so much stress.
AS of MAY 2023, Canadian government warned its citizens NOT to visit this city. They are all AT their own RISK if you want to go.

(I had to think about how to translate that in my head for a brief moment there.)
So that's a LONGGGG practice since like....the 50's and 60's.
(My late grandparents used to do this moreso than my parents.)
But the idea is that stuff in Hong Kong isn't always necessarily so clean, even after you've cleaned it, so the idea to rinse off any residuals.
Of course, even after my grandparents had emigrated, they continued the practice despite things being generally cleaner in Toronto. Old habits die hard.
Some habits never goes away.
Hong Kong is a safe place...I guess most of the younger people in Hong Kong would like to help foreigners when they are in trouble on any situation

Short trip in HK is great but not a long stay here. It is too crowd and stressful living here. Susie, you wore a grey long sleeve jersey. I have the same one. I bought it while I studied in the UK, ie, decades ago from M&S. A very comfortable jersey and special letter 'C' in red with other materials. Many things to be explored here, enjoy!
