    This video was insanely helpful. Hardly any videos out there on this and I don't think I would have gotten it done if it weren't for coming across this video

    Great video, and finally someone showing how to pulse the system using a diagnostic :) good job

      It wasn't really necessary to let the ABS work. Maybe when you install a completely new one which is dry. Thanks for watching! 😉😉👍👍🤘🤘

    Thank you for this video. I recently bought a 2016 MT-07 and unbeknown to me (I forgot to check) it doesn't have ABS.. So I am looking to install it myself however I'm having trouble finding schematics and information, this video helped me a lot!

      Nice and thanks for your comment. Switching brake lines is easy! Even on the ABS bike and without it should be a walk in the park. No schematics needed. Just take a pic of how the old lines are routed if you can't remember that. 😬😬😂😂👍👍
      You can switch out one by one so it should be even easier. How many brake lines do you need to replace on the non ABS bike? Even less I guess.

      @@meoffjack less indeed, but I’m looking to install ABS onto the bike therefore I needed to know what I needed to install it!

      @@featzkbai That's a bit more work. ABS block with ECU, sensors, wheels that accept the ABS rings, wiring harness.... 😄😄
      I've searched for the MT-07 ABS on ebay and you can get the ABS block with ECU for under 200€. Dunno if your wheels are already compatible with the ABS rings but if not, you would need new ones. The harder part are the electrical connections. Is your wiring harness already compatible with ABS? That would be the biggest hurdle. If not, you would have to replace that... Dunno if that work is worth it. You would have to strip a lot off that bike... In my opinion not worth it. I couldn't find an upgrade kit for the ABS system either. So you would have to get original parts... Look under your seat if your fuse box has a place for ABS and if you can find both connectors for the front and rear sensor (they should be white two pin connectors). Taking off the tank should reveal the big connector for the ABS ECU. But I doubt you will find it. You will have to replace the wiring harness. Wiring harness with ABS, ABS sensors, ABS wheel rings, two new wheels, ABS block, screws, bolts and the ABS brake line kit is what you need.

      If you really wanna do it, email me on: learner_6@hotmail.com and I will send my original Tracer 700 workshop manual as PDF. In those are schematics for the wiring harness. That should also apply to your 2016 MT-07 as those bikes are nearly identical. My Tracer is also from 2016 so except for the tank, fairings and suspension, our bikes are the same.

      @@meoffjack I am serious about doing it, haha! I just recently bought it and use it to commute to school and work, a lot of those times the roads are wet and slippery and it will be very dangerous for me to lock up the brakes. I didn’t realise it didn’t have ABS until after I had already bought it and I don’t want to immediately sell it again.. I will send you an email later! I have managed to find a lot of parts already, secondhand. I think I can manage the whole job for around €500.. The only real issue I’m having right now is that my dash/display doesn’t have an ABS light on it, so I will either need to buy a new one which will definitely cause me to go far above the €500 or I can add a little cheap light somewhere on the handlebar instead and have that be the ABS light.

      @@featzkbai The MT-07 gets the speed signal from the ABS sensor at the front wheel when I remember correctly. Do you have the ABS rings at the wheels?

    Hi!
    Nice and detailed video! What was the reason for the change? Couldn't be wear could it? If it was for the upgrade can you let us know how does it manifest? Thx!

      Reason was I wanted these brake lines, old ones weren't fatigued and I got a slightly crisper brake lever feel. 👍👍😁😁
      If you are not a total numbnut everybody with some tools can do it on their own.

      Nö, anlernen muss man da nichts. Solange alles wieder richtig zusammengesteckt wurde und keine Pins beschädigt sind, sollte alles wieder laufen.

    no offence by why not just go fro bakelever straight to wheel the you bypass ABS??? is shit anyway

    • @meoffjack
      @meoffjack  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Becaue of regulations and other reasons. I don't see a positive side for me by bypassing the ABS. In no situation for the time I have the Tracer did the ABS create a situation were I said it's shit or useless or dangerous.
