One thing I really like about this fight is that we get to see the villain learning and getting to know his own abilities over the course of the fight. Pucci just recently acquired c moon and doesn't know how it fully works. He learns to only strike once at a time so the effects don't undo each other, and to aim for Jolyne's vitals. He even has to go out and rescue his own stand from being strangled.
This was great. Can't wait for the Made in Heaven supercut. If you do that, will the Emporio vs Pucci part be seperate or in the same video as everyone vs Pucci?
Probably because the fact Star Platinum got through Pucci's gravity shield thingy is a major feat but it also lead to his punch getting significantly weaker
20:05 --and this is where the part should have ended if Pucci didn't have such a thick plot armor. Star Platinum's punch was so strong that it sent him flying through a steel frame and dislodged said steel frame from the brick wall it was embedded into. Gravity or not, the fact that the impact from Pucci flying into the brick wall bent solid metal frames is proof enough that Pucci's skull should have caved in from that punch.
Pucci is the centre of gravity and has a thick shield of gravity around him at all times mitigating blows. Even Stone Free struggled with it, only Star Platinum easily broke through
Dude, in this show, people have survived having their heads cut off, setting themselves on fire, electrocuting themselves multiple times, being torn in half (vertically) and being blown to smithereens amond many other things. Why are people suddenly acting like JoJo always had realistic portrayals of much damage a human can endure before this moment?
Stand users have absurd durability, it’s just a fact of the setting. Kakyoin should’ve died in his first encounter with Jotaro with how much blood shot out of him, but he was fine. People only complain about characters not dying when they don’t get the results they want.
star platinum's power is crazy, Jolyne has landed several punches with her stand before, but Jotaro lands one and the priest has to do a system reboot xD
Pucci has insane plot armor this whole fight. A few examples being: - That weird barrier around Pucci and C-Moon when Jolyne tried to strike them. I suppose the reasoning for it is that the inverted gravity is incredibly strong around his skin, but it doesn’t come into play with Anasui or Jotaro later on. It only occurs that one time. - The face inversion thing. It makes sense to use it to dodge one strike, but I don’t get why Diver Down didn’t just swing at him a couple more times. Sure, Anasui was falling without Diver Down, but stands are fast as hell. He would have had time. - How was C-Moon holding its own in head-to-head combat with Stone Free? Isn’t it supposed to have weakened power/speed due to its insane abilities and range? Stone Free doesn’t win a SINGLE engagement despite being a power-type. - Why didn’t Jotaro finish the job? That one punch severely injured Pucci, but the second that the priest started monologuing, Jotaro should’ve learned from his past and beat him down. Call them nitpicks if you will, but I find many of these plot conveniences to harm the believability of this fight; Pucci didn’t win because of high battle IQ, he won because the protags were sandbagging.
@@sirmalkolm Well, Jotaro and Jolyne certainly got no favors this fight. Jolyne somehow managed to have almost every single one of her strategies fail, despite having really good setups the whole fight. For example, when she touched Pucci’s face as he was about to body Anasui, why not just straight up snap his neck? Jolyne had the drop on him, she coulda ended the fight right there. Same goes for Jotaro, whose hysterical lack of initiative allowed Pucci to escape. He opted for a single punch rather than an attack that would have finished Pucci, which he can certainly still do, given he was shattering vampire’s skulls in earlier parts. Once Pucci started ascending in the frame, Jotaro should have ran up to him, immediately stopped time, and beat the hell out of him. He was only a few feet away when that whole sequence started. I want to note that the Mobius strips really aren’t that much of an asspull. I had knowledge on them before, so it stands to reason that Jolyne would have known, given the prison library jam packed with books. Took her a while to figure it out as well. Ermes just kind of… didn’t exist, so I’m not going to go into detail on that. Glad that Araki found a way to keep her relevant during the Made In Heaven fight, though. Same goes for Emporio. Anasui had probably the worst representation possible in this fight. Jolyne had to save his ass on multiple occasions, and managed to make use of the situation each time she did it. Dude got beat up by literal floor tiles. The plot was actively trying to kill him, not armor him.
@@sirmalkolm That’s an entirely different discussion lmao. If I had this much to write about this fight specifically, I’d be writing an entire college-level report on the rest of Part 6

Plot armor is something that has always existed for example jotaro puting some books in the exact place that DIO trow the knieves
