Alex, Thanks i was‘nt 100% sure we could pull it off! It just shows you need the skill ( Amir ) but you also need the right conditions It comes back to the same thing with everything like welding in a comfortable position lol. Cheers Dave
Martin, I know it sounds strange but we found the heater was set too high and we did‘nt know how to change it, It was almost drying out of the gun, I guess they are trying to speed up the time cars are in the booth! Cheers Dave
That's a great finish from out of the gun. I was always told the way you can tell the paint is flat is how straight the lights are reflecting off the body. And this is before cutting back. Great work. Well done.
WOW!!!!!! Excellent work guys. I did my S in BRG, Toga white roof, then clear in acrylic in the shed. Now hours of wet and dry cutting and polishing to get it looking close to that shine, never will look like 2 pack. I was lucky with dust 4 spots on roof and 5 on passenger door. Why does dust look black on white roof and light grey to white on green? Rhetorical question.
Stewart, Thanks, The trouble with home spraying is exactly what you said dust is a real problem, To me good air flow and great lighting is the key, On a nice hot summers day you have enough heat to cure the paint! Cheers Dave
would love to paint in a booth like that, i’ve done several in make shift booths and had great results but never off the gun, always had to cut back and machine polish.
hey Dave, was that just 2 pack? I'm nearing paint and considering ISO free stuff (at home) vs Acrylic as the last acrylic I did took a hella lot of work and only lasted 2 years in the Aussie sun...
Great video, Dave! Are you over for the Himley classic mini show in May, or the London 2 Brighton mini show this year? Doing both when I get my Cooper out the garage in April.
Simon, It‘s come out really well! Just a thought but try and find someone who has a booth and ask them to rent it over the weekend if it‘s not being used and make it worth there while it will pay it‘s self back in the end! Cheers Dave
Did I hear you say a water based paint? Just WOW, Just 2 coats? Beautiful Color as I have to show my daughter because she is picky about her reds... . OH and Amir is one talented guy...
Randy, Yes it‘s water based which most people are using now due to the chemicals in paint, So there is no thinners used apart from the clear coat! We used 6 litres of paint for the whole job. Cheers Dave
Liam, Yes there is a small area on the back of the roof in the centre which has an issue which we will try to manipulate out! We are going with a Carbon fibre wrap but if it still shows after some work we will fit a complete carbon fibre roof! Cheers Dave
Dear my friend what did you use for underbody raptor or shalts
We used Teroson underbody paint but it should be warm not cold and well shaken. Cheers Dave
thank you 🌟 my star thumbs-up friend
Simply stunning well done gents you should be very proud that has turned out amazing very very impressed!!!
Alex, Thanks i was‘nt 100% sure we could pull it off! It just shows you need the skill ( Amir ) but you also need the right conditions

Phils, Amir has done spray painting in his garage but not in a booth so it was a first for him! Cheers Dave
hey Dave, was that just 2 pack? I'm nearing paint and considering ISO free stuff (at home) vs Acrylic as the last acrylic I did took a hella lot of work and only lasted 2 years in the Aussie sun...

Nice job pitty about the dent in the roof
