- The Iron Blue Dun Emerger is tied to suggest the emerging Iron Blue nymph hanging in or just below the surface (meniscus) with the dun in the process of emerging from the nymphal shuck. It works well for me during a hatch of Iron Blue Duns on our rivers in late April and/or - depending on the weather - early May.
Dressing:
Hook: Size 16 Kamasan B170
Thread: Red 8/0 UNI-Thread
Wings: CDC feathers
Dubbing/Body: Mole fur
