    Great to see you get excited about a material. Didn’t know there was such a thing as white peacock. Will be looking for it.

    Very cool pattern. Beautifully tied. The white peacock dyed dunn, makes a great quill body. Thanks for sharing Mr McPhail.

    Looks really good with the peacock dyed . I do these sometimes with Coats and Clark thread spun until it’s rope for the abdomen touching turns or like you said biots . In any case a terrific pattern. Thanks for sharing.

    Absolutely superb, and an easy tie. I imagine that dun peacock would also look great if stripped of the herl. That CZ nymph hook pattern is great and I've tied hundreds of flys using them, but they're so big for their stated size I DO wish Fulling Mill would make them in #20 and #22. Those hooks 'keel' the fly beautifully, keeping the pattern upright and less wind-prone.

    Why do you take the eye out davie when you dye the peacock?

    • @DavieMcPhail
      @DavieMcPhail  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi @otts69,
      The main reason is so that I can fit them in the dyeing pot and as well I prefer to keep my best eyes for quills separate from the other feathers, saves me hunting through them when I'm tying..
      All the very best Davie
