- This is the longest time i spent working on diorama. Researching, downloading, supporting, printing, building, painting and even more time spent on editing that video.. Glad it's done now, happy to finally build a Fallout diorama!
Officially the scale of Fallout: wasteland warfare tabletop game is 32mm so i think it's 1/56 or 57. I scaled it down to 30% so i think its 1/100-ish but please correct me if im wrong.

I've played literally 1000s of hours of Fallout 4 and I can tell you without a doubt the only way this could be more realistic and true to the game is if this video also made my browser crash to desktop just like the game does. Excellent work.

I'm so grateful I didn't know any of this 3D printing stuff 20 years ago when I was still tabletop war-gaming,...I'd have needed a 2nd mortgage to fund the addiction!

I had exactly the same thought - back then we did our best with plasticard and foam core and the few military/train set accessories we could get, but nothing really even close to this level of detail. It makes me sad I don't have a group to play this kind of stuff anymore, but my wallet is definitely thankful.
I'd like to get into Warhammer 40k, but videogames and Legos are already expensive enough.

@@ScaleHangar182 oh mylanta, you're the guy! I've never seen someone make a custom diorama before and you made it look so effortless in spite of the enormous complexity. I've probably spent a few thousand hours playing Fallout game, so i feel confident in qualifying this is a masterpiece. Can't wait to see more! Thank you for taking the time. One last thought, I promise- the amount of drama and story telling you were able to pack into a static scene is remarkable man, that's what sets it off I think.
The Red Rockets are one of the most recognisable things in Fallout and you did a good job. I love the little turrets

I think Fallout is mostly known by the power armor on the case and game art for most of the Fallout games.
You see that shit on the cover of a game and you can't help but to think its super badass.

So happy i came across this video, you're very talented and this diorama is incredibly detailed, i love the fallout games and this was great representation of an iconic area . i especially liked the acute details such as the radioactive chemical leaking out of the barrel, the graffiti and the touches of rust. This is so crazy awesome! I would love to have this for my collection. The detail and clutter added give it the real deal feel. I love this so much! If you ever get the itch to do a bigger project, I would sit down and watch a three hour video of you making your own settlement.

the detail and the serious amount of time and skill needed to create this is just insane. holy shit. its not just the printing and painting either, its also creating a video and setting up the camera for every single shot then editing all of it. the finished product is so insanely high quality and every piece of the diorama tells a story, just amazing.

Amazing work sir! I have a real love of Red Rocket, it's one of my favorite settlements to build at. I have spent so many hours there it feels very familiar. You did a great job of capturing the atmosphere.
I'd love to recreate my version of the settlement in miniature one day.
I think Modiphius are doing a great job with the game too. I wish I could afford to buy more sets.
That first Red Rocket has station is one of the first buildings you run into in Fallout 4. I build a little mini compound around that gas station & then the movie theater. Super cool !! Many compounds I left for better areas but I always kept my gas station throughout several different game saves. It's the perfect place to set up camp. Even late in the game.
You are 1 power armor station short of perfection. Awesome model!

VERY impressive! I would be embarrassed to tell you how many hours I have [;ayed the various Fallout games; each and every one.
I used to wargame with 15mm military minis, also Warhammer, 40k, D&D, Chainmail, so I did some rudimentary work on terrain and dioramas. Also, I briefly worked for a man who did high quality miniature work for museums, etc.
All that being said, your work blows me away! You should be very proud!
ALSO: the fact that you never have ANY paint on your hands is another great achievement!

I play fallout 4 and fallout 3. The details on this is so realistic. I like what u did with the miniture furniture inside of it. Also the outside.

I’ve never thought to use a toothpick for spreading the glue in tight places. I’ll have to try that out on my next model today :)

i assume with the age of 3D printers these days. You can now make dioramas in more detail than ever thought. always begged my mum for a hobby like this(but i was already spoiled in other ways) . Something so satisfying about mini worlds. especially the more intricate smaller pieces

I am sure you know this, but you can save a lot of glue and time if you printed joints, shims and connecting pieces like lego. Things like lamps lamps can be printed hallow to add electronics and diodes, this could also help in reassembly if you want to move things around later too. Anyways hope this suggestion is helpful and I love your work.
