    Gosh, Great job on the DIY background. Not that far off from Aquadecor if you ask me.

    I hope you make the tank a Tanganyikan cichlid community tank.

      May be going that route just to change it up a bit...stay tuned.

    • @Jetblink619
      @Jetblink619  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brianhahn3296 definitely considering going that route. I have a bunch of really nice “show fish” peacocks in the growout tanks in the fish room I’m tempted to put in there as well. Crazy bright dragon bloods (my favorite) so we shall see!

    You always do a fantastic job I have a 180 and I’ve been thinking about making us some for it any suggestions from we greatly appreciate it like on the return pump what should I use keep up the great work yo pal Sal🤘😎

      Thank you Cell, your support is always appreciated! I ran a 40 gallon sump just like this one on my 180 years ago and it was fantastic! That said, I would recommend a DIY 40 gallon breeder tank song for your tank....or even a 75 like I have on my 300. The bigger the better in my opinion, you can never have too much filtration or water volume!

    Are you using rodi water for your cichlids?

    • @Jetblink619
      @Jetblink619  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nooooo, can’t use rodi water with cichlids, unless you are going to add buffers, salt etc. The RODI is for my saltwater tank auto top off and water change system upstairs.
      The other canisters are sediment and carbon blocks for the freshwater tanks auto top off in the basement. Just to move the chlorine basically.

      @@Jetblink619 I knew it wasn't recommended without adding buffers but it looked like your setup may have been using it.
      I purchased a 7 stage rodi for a saltwater tank which I have yet to get set up and I was just looking for a reason to get some usage out of it. Thanks for the clarification! Great tanks and videos... new sub!
