Super encouraging video! Tons of enthusiasm and good advice keep it coming! Im in my third season of lawn care/landscaping and hoping to get into snow this season. I have two clients interested so far. One im not sure how to do. Small narrow 3 car length driveay in a tight packed side street and not much room to plow the snow.
I wonder if you can help. I live in Canada and think to have a snow removal/landscaping business. I was wondering if it is worth doing. As a kid growing up,I do remember a time where it snowed every year 3 months straight with lake a efects snow and still more snow. I am looking for a f250 with a boss plow and have a salt spreader put on. Is it worth it still.
I been snow blowing and using a walk behind plow making average $1300 a storm and now I’m in position where I have to buy a 4x4 and a plow because a lot more ppl asking me to do it for them. I’m wondering if it’s a good idea and weather I’ll be able to make more money and still pay for the new truck and maintenance. Please help lol
Sounds like you answered your own question. If you get a truck, you can do more driveways = more $$. Sure, an old truck will require maintenance, but it’s far cheaper than a new one and still does the job. Try to get some commercial accounts - walkways, small parking lots, stairways… liability areas require more attention. Have to be cleared at the smallest amounts, not just plowable amounts like driveways. And offer salting as a service, pretreat and post treated after every clearing… ALOT more money with commercial. Always reinvest in your business in order to grow. You’ll watch that 1300 go to 2500… 5,000… 8,000… OR, stay where you are and you’ll only ever make 1300. Good luck ! 👍🏼
I have a few questions about being my own boss and doing snow removal this winter. Do you have an email or Facebook I can contact you to ask a few questions? One I had was if I wanted to buy an old beater truck with a snow plow and plow people’s driveways do I need some kind of insurance?

Question..how is ur steering that soft for that old truck?! Got 9 yrs old suburban 2500 steering is hard honestly and dealership saying its totally normal steering for A 2500 suburban.. no leaks oils all new etc... im really wondering wt to do
I’m living in the north of Sweden, above the arctic circle and plowing with a pickup truck is crazy to me 😅 we plow with wheel loaders like a Volvo L90 or a real truck like a Volvo FH16 or Scania R500… or a wheel grader…
Will a 2005 Tacoma work for snow plowing? How do you charge customers? I’m looking to start a business doing season work (Gutters, window cleaning, Lawn Care, snow blowing/plowing) any information would be helpful. I’m finishing up my third deployment with the Army and getting out. I want to work for myself

I’m looking to expand my lawn services into snow plowing. What is the best truck for a snow plow?
250/2500 or bigger. The front axle has to be rated for 6500 or heavier this way you can run a bigger plow
@@jimbofiveo2048 thanks for keeping it str8 wit me.
