EStig55 to Scott Rudin right at the start of awards season. Tina didn’t get that no matter how good Beyoncé was in the movie she didn’t have the “Oscar role.” That was Jennifer Hudson (win) and Eddie Murphy (loss).
Around this time Beyoncé’s people actually got Oprah to bring on her to sing “listen” when the original plan was for Hudson to come on and do “I’m telling you.”
Also, you have to keep in mind that Jennifer was really no threat to her since she would’ve always been put in supporting and Beyoncé was clearly the films female lead. I think it was more the people around her being salty. I’m sure she was happy for Jennifers win.
She is a strong never give up heifer. She worked her butt off to become a singer and whenever she got up there she had to battle loss. That's not for everyone. I laud her for that!

Although Jennifer lost American Idol, she's the most recognizable American Idol either at home or globally. Too bad for American Idol, they can now only take claim for introducing her to the world but all of that talent and hard work to keep her brand alive is all on Jennifer. Kudos!
