Hey guys! Hope everyone's having a great week so far. I feel like I've found the sweet-spot for the audio and I'm super excited to be able to increase the quality of the videos for you all. Anyway, hit that sub and like button, blah blah. Thanks for watching!
The head-canon I have for the campaigns I run is that Asmodeus was the Angel who lead the angels that were put in charge of fighting the Demons. The endless fighting started wearing them down, and Asmodeus eventually either sought him out/or was contacted by Aruman who agreed to give the Angels the power they needed to keep fighting, and would especially empower Asmodeus, essentially turning the Angel into his personal avatar. This turned those Angels into the first Devils, giving them the power they needed to fight back and concur nine layers of the Abyss and transformed it into their personal realm. However, this process also forever transformed the Devils into creatures that, while still Lawful, were pure evil. While in this story, Asmodeus is still as cunning and powerful as ever, he is ultimately just the servant to an even greater power.
I love it! I like how it kinda highlights how there is almost always a "bigger fish" in the multiverse. No matter how powerful someone is, there's usually someone more powerful.
the ruler of hell is what got me completely invisted in dnd, I know of the first and second story (thanks to Mraxx and his what they don't tell you about series) but the lost was new to me thanks for sharing that.
He who was sounds like Satan who was actually a being in early d&d. There's a 2e product called guide to hell that stats satan and his consort and mentions that he used to be the lord of the plane. I'll have to go back and check but I'm sure that's how it goes
Thanks again for the great content. Your narration is as always spot on as well as the video editing and I love the graphic profile you have. With that said the volume works for me because I just maximize it… the problem is when it switches over to another video and my ears get kinda blown out:)) so in other words, if you could raise the volume a bit?
I wish youtube would let me go back to older videos and raise the volume on them :( I'd do that in a heartbeat. But apparently that's not doable... yet haha However, I feel like with the Behir video, I'm really honing into a sweetspot. I greatly appreciate the kind words though, that's the stuff that keeps me motivated :)
@@dungeonguide6015 nah man, too much good lore for you to talk about moving forward:)) you don’t have time to look back. Gotta keep us listening. Looking forward to the next episode! Keep up the great work.
As a heads up, not sure you knew or if its what you meant, but I got my computer and youtube volume at max and its still hard to hear you. My opinion, just up the volume of your voice like 10-20% and it would be close to perfect. But otherwise, love the lore!
Thank you! Out of curiosity, in the new Behir video, is that still really quiet? In that one I tried some new things as well as focusing on projecting my voice a bit more :) Either way, I appreciate the advice! Have a good one!
Haven't seen new work from you recently. Just a Holiday Hiatus or are you running into problems? The walk through the Monster Manual is the one I'm looking for. You have a looong way to go to compete with MrRhexx or whatnot - but a by the creature walkthrough of the MM is something that can be yours.
Hey I'm still here! I started a new full time job this week so I'm taking a week or two off to get acclimated with the schedule and all that, but I'm definitely still working. In fact, I just finished the script for the Beholder video tonight. So, ideally, I'll get to do the voice recording tomorrow and then I'll assemble the vid soon thereafter. I certainly won't be giving this up, I've had too much fun and I'm entirely too stubborn lol But thanks for checkin' in! Hope you had a good thanksgiving (if you celebrate all that!)
Respectful critique. 1) Your algorithm method, for whatever reason, isn't helping you. Research how to improve your algorithm triggers. 2) Your salutation and valediction was (sorry) weak. However, the body of your titular triune synopsis was quite good. Whoever wrote that, nice job. 3) Add a little animation to your voice over delivery. Not a overacting thespian, with Shakespearean flair, just emote a little more. 4) Your slideshow was done quite well, to the voice over. It's your channel, you be you, I wish you success.
For one thing that is fact is that asmodeus wasn't original the ruler of the nine hells Zargon was, resembling more demonic than devil but it is powerful
Excellent point, I should have added that in there. In the video it seems like the Nine Hells were just there for the taking, but you're right, they weren't necessarily!
@@dungeonguide6015 one more that is fact is the demon kind started with the obryth with this foul energy thing the shard of ultimate evil. So demons do have a concrete being surprising has that sounds. Its hinted that asmodeus has a tiny piece of the shard of evil in his well-known ruby rod.
@@carloss3499 Yess, I do mention the Ruby Rod bit of info in my Blood War video haha And I did read about how the obyriths are thought to be the "early demons" but I havent put that bit in a video... yet haha
At what power rank would Asmodeus be equal to? He has to be more powerful than a Solar. More powerful than a Demi or Lesser God.... After all he rules 9 planes on his own and rules over other very powerful beings. DnD should have made him and the rulers of the Abyss gods and left out all of the confusion...

This is a really nice explanation. I like that you show the different origins.

Nice new channel. May the gods watch over you.
Thanks! Everyone's been so kind :)
Please turn up the volume. I need to max out every volume setting.
Heyy, I sadly can't turn up old videos BUT I think I found a good audio sweetspot in the most recent ones!
Yeah, I meant future videos.
Audio was kinda low so I had to increase it from my usual 20% kek lol
haha hopefully going forward it's better, I think I found a good spot in the most recent Blood War video :)
