    Switched up some production processes for this one so I hope you guys still like it! I've gotten so many amazing comments recently and I just want to say I greatly appreciate all of you in this community. (I'm not sure I have enough subs yet to call it a community, but I'm going with it anyway!)
    Anyways, thanks as always to the Forgotten Realms wiki for all the information they collect on that site

      One of your videos showed up in my suggestions earlier today, and now I'm a subscriber. I like this one, since I can actually hear you. I look forward to watching your previous videos... using a Bluetooth speaker with the volume cranked up. Still watching this video, and I must say... if AJ finally learned that the city Sigil is pronounced with a hard 'g', so can you. I'm pretty sure you're pronunciation of Baator was spot on, though.
      Also, I'm really bad at critiquing, since I generally skip over what someone did right. Remember, I did subscribe based on a video I could barely hear, so you're clearly doing a lot of stuff right.

      @@tomkerruish2982 I honestly love these kinds of comments. It gives me a lot to think about, so thank you so much :) So you think the audio is in a good spot here? If everyone seems to like it, I'm going to write down the settings I used and use them every time going forward!
      And it's... not pronounced 'Sidgel'? It's funny because when I was doing the recording, I waffled between the two pronunciations and settled on the wrong one apparently lmao
      either way, have a good one and thanks again!

      @@dungeonguide6015 Yes, the audio seems good here. Also, yes, the name of the city, 'Sigil', rhymes with 'wiggle'. The ordinary word (e.g. in the spell 'sepia snake sigil') is pronounced the way you said it.

      @@tomkerruish2982 Noted! Much appreciated.
      I wish I could re-upload my earlier videos because I feel like it took me wayyy too long to find a happy spot for the audio. Oh well, maybe down the road, I can remaster them haha

    Upper planes and Devils should team up against the demons, kill them all and destroy the abyss, and then balance each other out.

    wow that was an awesome video my favorite part was when 2 random lower plain character just minding their own business until they spoted each other and they are like oh yeah I hate that lawful/chaotic evil being, also your audio quality is a lot better but still needs just a tiny bet of work

    Be it Devil, Demon or a bit of each it is undeath that will eventually remain & then only the negative plane all over again for evil can never endure.

    Nice work. Definitely better sound. Production as a whole is solidly done. Your voice works for this. You do have the problem of entering a flooded market, though. There is a lot of D&D content. Your basics are strong but you're going to have to find something that sets you apart.

      Thank you! Yeah the hope is there's a desire for more In-Universe lore videos. I want to get better at writing so I can maybe start building the character of the Dungeon Guide. It's an odd idea, but we'll see how it goes! Thanks again for the kind words, though :D

    4:23 - FYI: in D&D lore, the city of Sigil is pronounced with a hard 'G'.

    I can't help but notice you never mentioned anything about the Pact Primeval, please read WOTC’s Fiendish Codex II and the pact primeval section, very enlightening. You also missed word there, he never had divinity to begin with. When Mystra fell, he consumed Azuth and the two basically became one- until he took the divine spark of another diety within the events of the Brimstone Angel books, great read!

  • @ravenRedwake

    Aren’t both sides essentially immortal so it’s like the Great Game in Warhammer AoS and 40K where the chaos gods are fighting eachother as well as everyone else?

  • @ShineDark
    @ShineDark 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I know there’s the notion of the forces of good being overwhelmed by whoever wins the Blood War, but I just don’t see it. From what I understand, the forces of the Celestials are more powerful than any one of the Fiendish races. The threat comes from if the Fiends all united together. However, if one side wins, then in all likelihood, the winning side would be so spent from the fighting that the forces of good could wipe them out.
    It’s my head canon that Asmodeus keeps the Blood War going because if it ended, the Gods potentially wouldn’t have a reason to tolerate the existence of the Devils anymore and would potentially destroy them.

    • @dungeonguide6015
      @dungeonguide6015  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good points! Idk what the objective truth is though because the War is both destructive AND beneficial to entities like Asmodeus it's hard to really sus out everyone's motivations haha

    i hate the word pacifist; it is like the lukewarm people in the bible... There is nothing pacific about living in the true knowledge of good and evil.
