      He can afford to teach that way because he's a master. If he were less than that, his teaching style would be more intense.

    So interesting almond everybody does this over handed and it ends more like a slide or slip. Going underhanded wrap the arm and you end up loading the person onto your back. Your way looks slower and harder but much worse for the Uke. by which I mean more impressive as well. However you are the only one I’ve seen demonstrate it this way and it actually seems name appropriate the other technique reminds me much more of a balance move than a loading throw.

    • @SampsonJudo
      @SampsonJudo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Glad you like it! I personally prefer my throws to be actual throws - i.e. lift my uke into the air. It's one of the reasons I personally prefer a normal Ippon Seoi Nage over a drop Seoi Nage, it feels more elegant. But of course sometimes a less elegant method is needed to get the score 😅

    Sono ormai 45 anni che non pratico più judo, sono arrivato a cintura marrone ed il judo che ricordo era in linea con le semplici regole del Maestro. Questo Korea seoi nage credo che ancora non ci fosse. Io i pochi combattimenti fatti in gara li vinsi con ippon seoi nave a sx di tori e con morote classico a ds. Vedendo questa esecuzione e qualche combattimento su you tube mi sono fatto un'idea personale di questo colpo ed è in linea con le linee di equilibrio spiegate benissimo dal Maestro. Il movimento iniziale é fondamentale, ma non capisco perché si necessario il sollevamento dato che tori è di fatto già sbilanciato indietro. Sarebbe più naturale una semplice spazzata da dietro sx vs sx. Forse si è deciso di optare per il caricamento in un a determinata linea per evitare una resistenza di tori da dietro in caso di non perfetta riuscita di qualche fase di passaggio. Grazie per la gentile attenzione ed eventuale spiegazione. Rispettosamente e complimentandomi Stefano ex Palestra Samj Mantova Italia.

      Judo, as developed by Jigoro Kano, is a collection of techniques from several classical jiujitsu styles. The intent was to stop an attack quickly and efficiently with (mostly throws [they really hurt on hard ground]) techniques that could be safely learned. If you find a school that still teaches his original curriculum, it will include strikes (mostly to set up throws, and finishers) and a bunch more joint locks.

    Hey NUTS , have to teach you :1-judo is not from korea but its from japan to the world (then you no nothing when you use this title )
    2-seoi nage : is japanies world as meaning seo , means get on the back and nage men’s throughout.
    3- i have done korean take won do for more than 20 ys, it means i do t hate them and not racist , just live in japan near 40 years , and got so easily , you dont know any thing of japan and also korea 🤔😀
    Go and try in another language , im afraid in the next video you use of title : ashibara from rusia😂

    • @SampsonJudo

      The use of the word ‘Korean’ is due to the fact that this particular variation of Seoi Nage was made popular by Korean judoka on the world circuit. Of course Seoi Nage is not Korean, the name is simply a nickname or colloquialism.

  • @운한서
    @운한서 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Judo originally started from Korea. It was incorrectly known to be Japanese because Japan promoted it as if it was theirs'.
    And its name is not "Judo". It is "Yudo", like in Korean.
    Just a little piece of information.
