    I’m 2 shows in and it’s clear this will be my go to Sabres podcast. I’m glad you guys covered the defense. I like the talent but the pairs are funky. I guess it’s who fits best with Power and then go from there. It’ll be interesting to see what Lindy comes up with.

      @@grumpyscott17 thanks Scott. The defense is a little funky. At the end of day in terms of minute munching, Samuelsson and Byram to me are better options than Jokiharju. Sometimes I forget that we only saw Joki elevated at the end of the season because Samuelsson wasn’t available.

      @@SabresprospectsThanks for the reply. Let’s hope Lindy can get the most out of Samuelsson. A modern day Rhett Warrener would be quite a boost.

    Why is the assumption Kulich is ahead of Rosen? Isak has a more complete game, and he vastly more responsible defensively.

      @kaizerczytsqkx4101 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Rosen is consistently a good player, both on defense and offense. He is the only Amerks that performed in the playoffs. Rosen also sets up a ton of Kulich chances that don’t end up in the back of the net. I feel Rosen is underrated.

    In summary, the Sabres parted ways with a 2nd round pick, a 1st round pick (#9 pick in the 2022 draft Savoie) and in return they got a bottom six center (McCleod) and a 4th line winger (Malenstyn). Kevyn Adams is really fleecing the rest of the NHL? And you wonder why the Sabres have struggled under Adams leadership? Why did they draft Savoie if they had no room for him? This is ridiculous logic.

    • @HALFDEADHERMAN
      @HALFDEADHERMAN หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Imagine not being able to comprehend the value of trading unproven NHL Prospects for proven NHL'ers who fill needs, play roles and have playoff experience.
      They drafted a prospect in Savoie to acquire value to then trade and acquire NHL ready talent.
      It sounds like you're the one with ridiculous logic that's struggling under Adams leadership.
      In summary, neither Matt Savoie nor the 2nd rounder traded for Malenstyn were making this roster and playing under Lindy Ruff.

    Thanks guys - do you think Adams is done? I never bought the Necas/Ehlers nonsense, but Farabee seems like a realistic target. Appert named him captain of USNTDP, thinks highly of him, Sabres fan from Syracuse (hello Alex Tuch 2.0) and a left wing with big upside IMO: He’s never played with players like Tage/Tuch and has still produced.
    With Byram’s contract coming up and Krebs losing his spot, could see us shipping out Samuelsson+Krebs for Farabee, lot of money for 4 Dmen and Sammy can’t stay healthy. Philly has reportedly looked closely at Krebs, and Sammuelson would be a great fit for them as a player+his Flyers connection. Seems too obvious to miss… Farabee makes this a serious playoff contending team. Sammy will be missed, but Ryan Johnson is ready to play and we signed an abundance of NHL depth d-men. Any local rumbling about this move?

    • @jackb8598
      @jackb8598 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey not to be negative -but this move makes a lot of sense and would be perfect, but unfortunately for that reason it will never happen. Adams and the decision makers are absolutely mucked in the head.

      @Sabresprospects  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Jamroy27 I very much like Farabee and definitely see the logic as laid out in your comment, and I’m all for continued chaos to reshape. I’d like to be wrong, but I feel that now Adams has already done a reshaping of key roles, that he may be a bit more methodical with his next tweaks. Just my gut feeling.

    • @Jamroy27
      @Jamroy27 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jackb8598 I will like the offseason moves if they conclude with something like this. Zucker (especially) and Benson are not top 6 forwards who produce consistently enough (Benson will eventually). But in reality I expect some ridiculous thing like we deal Krebs for a 4th round pick now that he’s disgruntled losing his spot and buddy on the team all in one go… can’t imagine him signing here as a 13th forward

    What about the Lindy Factor? Also I believe we'll be better defensively which bodes well for UPL and Levi. Face-offs should be better. What prospect will make the club. Will Krebs perform better. I am excited to see this team take the ice. These guys know they are under the gun. Can Power take another step and maybe get mean ? So many ifs but I'm feeling optimistic 🏒
