My Apple Watch, I got an Ultra which helps, but now the HR monitor doesnt work properly when running. I would happily have an AW with a mono LCD screen if the battery lasted longer.
Good gosh! I'm thankful just to be able to ride a pedal 365 days a year. My only charging hiccup has been to weed out all my old Micro-USB devices and take them to an e-waste centre. Even the rechargeable lights on my bikes are charged via USB-C. Oh! I still have a couple of Apple Lightning machines and a functioning 30-pin iPad. Thanks to your recommendations, I have sufficient charging bricks for any eventualities. Aloha.
In 10 minutes you do get a lot of charge in a modern EV. Between 20 and 25% of the battery, which should give you close to 100 miles while you pee and get a coffee. Furthermore, your ordeal is more a demonstration of the poor state of charging spots in UK, if you were driving in the Netherlands or France, the situation would be significantly better.
Wouldn’t you have been able to keep the Apple Watch Ultra charged using the Benks charger? Also, my cousin has an EV that charges as she drives. Why isn’t that the standard? (I know the answer’s probably money.) Thanks, as always, for the content.
Not quite sure about the EV hype, but each to their own. I guess because I live in an area of the USA where towns are great distances away and there are little to no charging stations in those towns, the barrier to entry is higher. But if you have a solar setup with batteries on/in your house, and you do most of your driving within a small radius of your house, then a reasonably-priced EV would make sense. I honestly would go for a hybrid myself so you get the best of both worlds.
Just buy a Tesla. The main - KEY - benefit is the charging network. Rarely need to queue. Rarely need to get stressed. Even in the Highlands of Scotland. UK charging network. Outside of the Tesla ecosystem is current,y a joke. No way would I buy a regular branded electric car, even a love,y BMW like the one tested.
Tesla. Absolutely. I've had my Model 3 Long Range since August 2019. Have never worried about range. Totally agree with you that the Tesla Superchargers are quick and fuss free.. I'm a driving instructor using my Model 3 as a tuition car.
What's the one piece of tech that annoys you daily in terms of charging?

This is me on every road trip (just substitute iPhone, Apple Watch and Telsa). The Telsa charging network is a great benefit. Brilliant video!
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for the kind words!
Good vid, the Delorian shirt makes it to all videos

I completely agree on all fronts.

Hmm, would you rather run out of gas or electricity? I’m going to say gas 😂

Just a video that highlights the naffness of EVs topped off with staying in a shed! 🙂
Spot on.
Jesus, give me my 20 minutes back. Everything except cars are easy to keep charged. No shit Sherlock 🙄
We make shorter versions of these videos for people with short attention spans on TikTok - I think you'd like them.
I probably wouldn’t
Buy a petrol car & stop being silly with silly electric cars.
