This was really helpful. I get nervous in interviews and someone has asked me about the branded question. I knew a lot of brands I liked, but I blanked out so getting practice questions totally helps.
That's great to hear! I'm the same way - I have to practice a LOT for interviews, or I'm way too nervous and can't be myself. After a few rounds of questions though, I feel prepared and usually do pretty well!
Hi Anne.. This vedio is very helpful for me. I would like to mention that you are not only a good tutor but a kind, lovingly human being too. You answered almost everyone. And trying as much as you can. God bless you.. 😇
Thanks i had an interview today and they asked some of the questions in the video.... I prepared responses for the questions and it really made it a lot easier!
Thank you so much for this video! I am applying for my Next job in English, I have worked in Design before but just in Spanish and I am trying to get this job in English and some questions that you explain here, they asked me. This video helps me to improve my communication skills and I hope to be ready for my interview again in two months!
You don't even know how much lucky you are to do an interview in english as native speakers. I'm literally dying thinking about my next interview in english. Can you make a video for non native speakers and tell us some tips for an interview?
Sorry I'm just now replying! I think it's true, it is much harder in another language (I lived in Japan for a couple years, and it was so hard learning their language!!) I'm not sure I would be the right person to do a video about that, because I've never interviewed non-native speakers... :)
@@GDHT Thanks anyway, your video was useful for my interview (even if they didn't hire me, but this is another story xD). Thanks thanks! :) You're amazing
thank you!! these are very helpful tips, I'm going to have a bit of practice now answering them. I have my first interview tomorrow, I'm feeling quite nervous but I hope it all goes well!
@@GDHT Thanks for all the tips, I got a callback and now they want me to do a trail run for 1 week. So excited and scared at the same time. Also they want me to use Mac, I've never used mac Os, I've only used windows, and they want me to learn Sketchup 3D software. Wish me luck 🤞😃
@@jonathanjose7435 Wow that is great! Hopefully they are paying you for the week. I would be very suspicious if not. Mac is a bit of a learning curve but not too bad. Keep in mind that if you're excited/scared, that means you're being pushed out of your comfort zone...and that is where great things happen!! Good luck!!
Thank you for the video, could you please write the name of your favorite designer, I couldn't find him on the web. Thank you and keep up the great work!!!!
Hey Anne Bracker, I'm a graphic artist that's losing his soul of become a graphic designer. I've been extremely struggle for long period of time. How do I stay focus following my dream to become a graphic artist
I'm guessing you're not working as a designer now, right? I didn't become a graphic designer until about 5 years after leaving school, so I know what you're going through. I think you need to make a promise to yourself, like I WILL BECOME A GRAPHIC DESIGNER NO MATTER THE COST. Then start doing tutorials, redoing your portfolio, and just making design your main focus. Then apply, apply, apply!! Don't get discouraged!
I'm noting working as a Graphic Designer, I actually left Atlanta,GA to move Southern California to pursue in my career. I've heard its a greater demand out here for graphic designer. Thank you for boosting my confidence. God Bless You
Yes, I think SOCAL is a good place to be! There are several really good places to work here in the US if you're a graphic designer...and these days, you can work remotely too. Keep working and honing your craft - I know you'll find something! Good luck!
Basically, you don't create most of the graphics - you can make creative choices, but the designer creates the graphics and gives them to you to create other graphics from the designer's 'template', or fix them / make them ready for print production. As an example, I worked for a few years as a tshirt graphic production artist. The designer would create a tshirt graphic for a university, and I would use that as a template to create graphics for other universities. I would update the words, colors, logos, etc and get to make creative choices sometimes (if something didn't look quite right). But the designs, side by side, looked very similar.

I would lean toward experience!

Can you please explain in detail what does production (in design field) mean?
Basically, you don't create most of the graphics - you can make creative choices, but the designer creates the graphics and gives them to you to create other graphics from the designer's 'template', or fix them / make them ready for print production.
