Starting the SWCP on Sunday (Travelling to Taunton, Minehead bus the next day), I have planned an itinery for 14 days so far, mix of campsites and one B&B in Bidiford. I like to be organised, and as this is my first long distance hike I wanted to know I had somehwherre to stay for the first couple of weeks (I'm unsure about Port Isaac but have seen your comment ragarding this so fingers crossed), going to stealth camp as much as I can after Padstow.
I have just worked out the distances between planned stops, some paid for others pending and realise that from Bidiford To Hartland Quay is 29 miles!!! I'm pretty fit (Triathlons etc..) But this has concerned me a bit. I'm totally blaming you as I was kind of following your start and stop points without paying attention to your miieage or state of mind LOL ;) I will cut off the Westward Ho' bit which loops around the top and cut across Bidiford which should save me a few miles (The walking route looks around the houses so may cheat and bus/taxi this bit to get me back to the path), so im guessing I'll probably have a similar distance to you.
If things are bad I may have to forgo the campsite in Hartland Quay and wild camp, though the next day is 15 miles so I dont want to add to much to that. I will leave Bidiford B&B really early to get a good start, though it will suck if I miss the breakfast :(
Anyway, thanks mate, love your down to earth vids, as a fellow Brit I appreciate your humour and love of all things PUB!
(I also have two days at Bude for a rest)

Wow. Thanks for all the effort. That was a big message. I'm no triathlete. If a fat bloke can do it you'll be fine. Enjoy it its a wonderful trail. Im also going to Cornwall this weekend!
Let me know how its going. If you need any advice ill try and respond!
