My wife just observed me watching your build and said” don’t even think about it and build your own garage, you’re going to hire a contractor “ My plans are in the near final stages ready for permitting. I’ll be watching your build and then watch my contractor 😬
Great vid. Heading to big box store now to order the lumber for my 12x16 wood floor storage shed. Picked up some great tips from your vids even though I’ve built many garage/shed projects. Turns out I’ve been doing several things a much harder way than required. Thanks man! Also, if you’re free this weekend and feel like road tripping down to central Illinois and freezing your butt off, I’ve got a project…..
First off , love the work you doing. I have a question because I'm thinking about building my own garage. How do you mark for bolts in the cement. Using 2x4 or 2x6
I just lay the plates down next to the bolts and transfer measurements…you can always do it the old fashioned way and just line your plates up on top of the bolts and whack em with a hammer to mark their spots.

I’ve actually got family heading in from central Illinois as we speak!
I trim tiny homes for a living and ive always wanted to build a shop by myself, maybe ill get to it one day
It’s not difficult if you just take your time!
And yeah, hopefully those painters got a signature on their "no warranty" clause...
I mean, the paint job was good, but the owner definitely should have made the proper repairs first!
