i have thought the same because if the husband is really concern to the dead wife, he will help for her justice even he have moved on after years. Concern and love would still be there but they acted fishy like any dog just went off and they lived happily ever after.

They were never free. Watching these episodes I learned that killers on the loose are constantly in fear of being arrested and for this case, you can tell by the fact that she had to change her name and her hair. In addition, the guilty comes to haunt them as well, that's why some decide to turn themselves in or end their life years after the fact. Mental instability is another form of torture.

It's so creepy how different they looked a decade later, I would have never recognized them. They were like two completely different and new people... Moving somewhere where nobody knew them so they could continue their corrupt lives without anyone holding them accountable. Her being an aggressive boss and molesting her workers does make sense. The two fraudsters/killers remained callous throughout their lives.

Even if she did the evidence was weak, if I was a juror there is no way I would have convict her, because look at the evidence it was trash. At the end of the day it's all about the evidence, yes it seems like she did it. We could argue that for sure but the evidence don't agree

Despite them both having the financial means to leave each other. They just wouldn’t. They didn’t want to split assets and give each other anything. My brother has been out of jail for years now. They’re divorced and haven’t spoken in years. But the hate in his voice when he speaks about her is palpable. Lol if the car was on the lot that she worked then it means nothing. If a person has a viable excuse as to why one single strand of hair is in a get away like working on the lot where the car was being sold. Chain of custody has been broken so anyone and their mother could have put the hair in there we don’t know bc it’s cross contaminated and chain of custody has been broken. I’m all for Justice. Worked for a great defense attorney for many, many years. I LOVE when Justice is served but I also LOVE the burden of proof the state has which is beyond a reasonable doubt. This means no reasonable person would have any doubt (not one ppl rly misunderstand this) that the suspect committed said crime. Lots of ppl base their opinions on true crime off emotion. You cannot do that. You have to be fair and impartial and let the evidence tell you the story. They have hair and some synthetic fibers. Those fibers from an orange wig would likely match any orange clown wig due to the fact that they are mass produced. There’s too many holes in this case. Yes it sounds good and likely that she would have done it being his mistress but if the evidence doesn’t show that without a single doubt then their shouldn’t be a guilty verdict. Yet there usually is. So many have been wrongly accused, convicted and spent their lives in prison for nothing besides the fact that most of these investigators are more concerned with obtaining a guilty verdict rather than convicted an actual killer. Scary how so many get away with it and still walking the streets why innocents are in prison.

Joe Ahrens is a real hero here, and this remade version of his story is great. I remember so clearly the words from the first show in 2018, about how the stepfather took all of his mother's assets: "A grieving 21 year old Joe was no match for his used car salesman step father." Injustice weighs on our heart like a heavy physical presence, I know from my own family of origin issues. It's good to see Joe come out the other side and to see some kind of justice for his mother, and him. I have watched the origjnal show many times, because it is so powerful and I can relate.
Keeping his story alive is another form of justice because while the killers might have gotten off light, they still have to live with the truth of what they did and that is a weight far greater than any other.

After that all she would say is that she did not do it and that she really didn't even know "that woman". She had absolutely no remorse because she totally had convinced herself she wasn't guilty. She had this total indifference to the whole thing other than she was still obsessed with Michael. She talked nonstop about him being a "saint". Justice WAS NOT served!! That's terrible her son and family did not really get closure.. Sheila, "No, I didn't do it, ya I did do it, to no I didn't do it!?" Really? I hope Sheila and that useless husband rot in hell for what they did!!

Justice can't be served in a LEGAL SYSTEM. You hear LEGAL and you think its the same as JUSTICE. It is not.
The Legal system isnt about Truth or JUSTICE. Its a BUSINESS. Many people are employed in a LEGAL SYSTEM. Prisons are A HUGE BUSINESS.

I have so much sympathy for Joe. To witness his mother being killed is heart wrenching. Both the Warrens should be in prison with no parole.

Yes, there is a point to being a caring person, because of the young children that can be taught to be caring--there's still hope for a better world. Nasty people always get a comeuppance. These two murderers are getting old and will probably end up receiving the "care" of a Nurse Ratched.

Such a letdown!!! She deserves life!!! Ridiculous!!!! Defense attorneys do not have to raise their hand and swear to tell the truth!! Always remember that!!! How can you go plead guilty and take responsibility? Supposedly for your crime, but then still proclaim your innocence? How does that work? That's not remorse, which she supposed to show for her crime.... #Pathetic #Ridiculous #NoJusticeHere #GetItTogetherProsecutors

He needs to bring a civil suit - for pain and suffering - citing his life changes - and recoup what was stolen from his mom. Not to get it- but to take it away from the people who PROFITED from murdering his mom!

In a lot of these cases the ones murdered always tell someone “if something happens to me, so and so did it” logic tells me to get away from so and so as soon as possible 🤷🏾‍♂️

I live in Kingsport, Tn. Where the restaurant still operates, The Purple Cow. I recall one day in 1999, my husband and I were riding our motorcycles. We'd pulled over at that parking lot to rest a minute and stretch our legs. A couple were sitting quietly by their bike. We spoke to them about riding. The skinny and frail looking dark haired woman sort of coward by the man's left side. We were standing at his right side. We talked about riding as he said that she has a bike also, yet preferred to ride with him. He introduced them as Michael and Debbie...we laughed because that is our first name also. He said that they run The Purple Cow.. The woman didn't speak or be social. I felt like we were intruding. I wasn't comfortable by her strange quietness. She was definantly paranoid about something or extremely shy. He said that they work all week and that Sunday is their only day off.. They left afterwards, and I told my husband that that was strange conversation. We watched them get on the bike and leave toward the Virginia line. (Virginia is only 2 miles from this area.) We hadn't thought anymore about this until we heard about the crime. I freaked out when they said that the woman named Sheila was going by Debbie. We knew we had just met the 2 people that murdered his wife in a clown suit. It seems that her dissociative personality was paranoia after the fact. Now I will never forget how talkative the man was, while the woman, pretty much curled up next to him and didn't speak. 😮
