I feel like I've been watching for half an hour, and it's only been 10 minutes. These shots are awe-inspiring. I like the half and slower speed post production work (PPW) because it emulates the sense of time slowing down that seems to happen in real life. Some of these shots happen so fast that if you *were* to show them in real time, the sense of awe is gone before it can be appreciated. PPW makes this almost like being there. So... When does it come in a stereoscopic version? Magnificent.

sick as hell! only thing that sucked was seeing 2010 highlights mixed in with the 2011 series. we've already seen them, but the additional footage from 2010 was cool. can't wait for the next round!

@gyulabike @lonewolfcult It is the 60 frames per second that helps it go that slow, However it's an effect in adobe after effects. It's called twixtor, just look it up on google or youtube

@JustKillinItProduct I'm pretty sure Aaron Chase (the rider) had that specifically made for him. Its a a iron bar attached to his helmet with the GoPro attached to it..... so its a custom mount.

@ecoguy30 first of all, most of these shots are filmed in very good to perfect lighting conditions. Secondly, they've probably done some colour correction in order to get the most out of the materialw - that's something you do in every professional production.

Is the 9:54 super slow motion and 10:05 really shot with GoPro camera? At 60fps I'd think it would be much more choppy at that speed :/

@lonewolfcult, @gyulabike The super slow motion effects are made in post production, probably using a plugin called Twixtor that blends frames and creates new ones. The 60 fps alone are NOT capable of creating such super slowmo footage. I think it's a bit stupid that GoPro used those shots, when their cameras are not capable of it. Those shots are equivalent of 800-1000 fps. Don't get me wrong, GoPros are awesome little cameras, I have three of them.

@petrsuchy Twixtor. It's made in postproduction. It's like 1000 FPS and no helmet camera can do that. That's the right form of what i wanted to tell you :-)
all footages were recorded in full HD (r5 mode)?
@TiagosVideos 720p shoots at 60 FPS with the GoPro so that's probably how. Plus a lot of editing programs come with Frame Interpolation which smooths out the choppiness caused by slowing down beyond the current frame-rate.

this video is sick but why don't they post the highlights of whatever year it is in January of the next year or December of that year so its highlights of the entire year?
like for instance highlights of 2011 should be posted in January of 2012 or december of 2011

There really isn't much post processing needed with the gopro all they did was add music and string the clips together. It films in full 1080p and has all kinds of different settings like even time lapse photos and you can change the quality of videos take pics and beat the hell out of it and it'll keep going. Its an extremely versatile rugid little camera and I would recomend it to anybody that is going to do stupid stuff and have fun like me haha
