RV parks have their value at rare moments, but nothing beats dry camping when you're all dialed in. So nice just rolling in to the desert and dropping anchor on a nice free spot. No check in, no rules, no money.

Hey Brian, glad you got your van running again. Some time down the road you might want to look into getting a system installed that allows you to adjust the pressure on your airbags individually from the cab. You can use them to level your rig on uneven ground.

I have a set of Hellwig adjustable helper springs on the back of my van, for the extra weight. I like them as I can measure how much help I need and keep the van level depending on my load. Keeping your weight properly distributed affects the steering as well. I carried a bike in the back of my van for years and I had a rear axle bearing failure, I believe, due to the weight. Pulling a trailer will then transfer the resistance more to the differential. It's a choice of where you want the load.
When we left Arizona we decided to head to the gulf coast which was awesome lots of free beaches in Texas it was a blast, then we hit New Orleans had to stay in a park there but still really enjoyed our stay. We are heading to Maine also to visit my sister after spending time with my dad in Asheville, Nc. Safe travels Brian.
Hey Brian, I'm in Flagstaff now. The temperature up here is nice, only chilly in the morning. Also some forest service roads are a little muddy and are still closed from winter. If you go to Williams, head south on 4th st. which turns into Perkinsville rd. Lots of boondocking and wildlife out there.
Okay, Brian, I noticed from your intro clip on your videos and both the Stonewall Peak and Paradice Camp videos that your van was definitely sitting low on the back side and NOW that Bill and you have added the airbags and heavier shocks on the rear that the van is SOOO much higher off the ground! The van's profile view almost appears the as if it is a 4 wheel drive vehicle. I am curious, what type of tires are you using? Are they AT tires? The van REALLY does look great! Bill is an amazing friend to help you make these repairs by adding the safer improvements to the van. I know you are exhaling with a sight of relief. I’m about a half mile from desert oasis. That used to be a koa 20 years ago . It used to have a store and swimming pool . Not near as nice as it used to be
Oh you will be so close to Sedona. I know it is a tourist town however when I visited there in 2010 it was so stunning and it has always been pulling at me to come back.. It is a very sensitive place for empaths. Hope you get that way for some footage!! I love the drone shots in this one. Shows just how much open space there is without another soul around! Your van looks really clean too! Enjoy.

The van looks great! That suspension did the trick including ground clearance. Always feels good to improve the ride on long trips. Live Free!
