Thank you! Turn signals and hazards went out on my 1999 Beetle, it was actually the connector that was loose behind. No need to spend hundred of dollars at the shop :)
Hey man thanks for this great video. After I checked my fuses and they were OK. I figured it was this relay and bingo. The part was 50 bucks but doing it myself saved me a visit to the shop. Make more good videos! 👍 thanks
Congratulations. I took this guy's advice and after I checked that the fuse was good I went and bought you used Hazard switch and now everything works again. Volkswagens are not cheap to work on so finding this video helped me owe so much

johnny del, sorry i meant like you taking out each screw etc...i have to "see" it done. I ran into problems when i removed the screws from it hanging with all the connections i guess? Now my car won't start, and all i did was remove screws to that panel. Now on to finding out what the heck happened during the screw removal and maybe tugging on wires from hanging. Nothing you did or didn't do believe me, i LOVED your video it's just that, as i said, i needed to "see" it done step by step.
Judy B there's two front covers you pull off at the edge of both .they pull forward than you'll see the screws and there screws underneath .nothing to it for screws or take it right down you can unplug and slide it out
Glad u fixed it .yes charge ur AC up with a can of 134 if one can works and stays working ur gd if it stops after a few hrs or days u have a leak if it don't work u have to find out what's broken. Get a small 16 once can with a gauge if low on gauge have car running with AC on .u will hair the compressor come on once there is a nuff 134 in it keep filling if low gd luck
Very helpful video as I have the same problem, but we replaced the hazard relay, after we did that, all indicators and hazards working fine, then 30 mins into driving the car, smoke coming out of relay switch and no indicators again 😕 someone said it could be the indicator stalk so going to try that today.
johnny dee unfortunately not 😕 we changed the stalks and was no different. So we messed about for a bit and worked out it’s something on the drivers side that’s causing the issue, changed the indicator bulb and hey presto it seemed to fix it but only for a couple of days until the relay blew again. So bought another relay (the third one now) and it’s going into a garage on Monday to see if he can figure it out. Thanks for the reply. Will let you know the outcome 👍

U have to get it scanned see what code comes up and go from there .sorry took so long for me to see this youtube has upset me over the years removing important videos to me so have not stayed up to date here gd luck
@@johnnydel6050 thank you, I did have it scanned and it's the seat belt mechanism set the seat belt clicks into that needs replacing sorry TH-cam has been so rude, I've heard this before from other people. 🫤

It worked !! And only cost me 20 dollars and was the quickest fix! Thank you! Now any idea how to get the AC to stop blowing warm air ?! Haha

johnny dee found out the problem. Loose/bared wires coming from door mirror on drivers side 😂 seems to be working 🤞👏 thanks for your help 👍

My blinker lights arent showing on my dash, but they work outside the car.

So my hazards are working but not the signals. Should i try this relay first or just replace the turn signal stalk?
Check ur fuses then try the relay
My 4ways worked my turns did not .hit around relayon the dash with signal on see if they flash if they do replace it

Fuses are good and i just pulled the hazard relay, connectors where clean and plugged it back it.
Hazards work no turn signal
@@zachcowley779 can unplug it and test for power .put signal on and test the ends for power change if no power from signal change the lever

Depends when u turn it on does the signal light flash or stay on at all or any clicking sound?
@@johnnydel6050 They flash once with one click. They don't stay on at all after that.

@@johnnydel6050 it's a 2001 but I just fixed the box. I dismantled it and cleaned the contacts 👍
