i have a strange question? what is the copyright date on the bottom of peach? mario was 2018 luigi was 2019 if peach reads 2020 then it proves that all of this was the plan no matter how successful mario was! that would be great as it shows that lego has the proper faith in this theme. i love it so much!
@@octanethermoplastic That should be the major detail to why there are no mini-figures, and probably never will be. And also the fact that Knex already did every single character as minifigures, with some characters like Bowser looking cringe as a minifigure. The Copyright details date from 2018-2019, and the maker of this Lego Mario theme said something along the lines in an interview that this was a 4 year project. And whenever the creators of this theme are asked about mini-figures, they try to dodge the question as much as possible. So I guess that confirms minifigures will never happen.
Looks neat, i just wish it wasn't forcing you to get the set for the koopaling at the expense of another bowser and toadette if you already have them...
Do this bowser and the old one have the same tile? If they do, that really sucks because it means you can only do one boss fight. (Same question for kamek)

I’m amazed at how most all the wave one sets have been basically rendered poor investments with most major characters all returning in this wave....A Lego first?
Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel, Batman. The amount of times they do remakes of sets and characters. Bowser is the main villain of the series and Toadette is probably the third biggest female character. The sets they were in are now retired so them being here is no different than those themes. Except theyre appearing in a completely different set rather than a remake
@@Ashnflash even you have to admit…all the major characters being re-issued in the very next wave is pretty unprecedented and surprising….We’re not talking years apart like other IPs….

That stained glass window piece alone makes this set worth it. I was so worried it was a sticker when I first saw it. Now I'm getting this for sure!
9:46 It would be cool if that piece is double sided so you could turn it over and you have Bowser’s side like he’s taking over the castle.
The builds on the larger sets seem like a lot more fun than the smaller sets
One note: eating the purple fruit makes you temporarily immune to poison swamp tiles and gets you coins for walking on them

When I got the set, on Step 11 on Bag #9, the U-shaped grey piece (18968) has one of the pieces you get are warped/demoulded.
