The block the vine comes out of doesn't use a masonry brick because it represents a vine coming out of a question block which turns brown after it's hit
It as in question block

2:46 To answer your question about why Lego did not use a masonry block, it's because the games show a solid block once a vine is revealed. The solid block indicates that it's been hit already and there's nothing left inside.

I really like the figures you get in the set with big spike and boomerang bro!I also like the hammer bro section where you shake the platform,the spring mushroom,and the piranha plant seesaw!

This set's aesthetic reminds me a lot of the recent Mario Kart 8 DLC track Sky Garden. Great stuff

immediately when i saw the set i thought it looked so cool, the vine also looks very cool and when i saw it at first i thought it looked like the duplo vines i had back in the day, love the part in the Mario reviews when you play the courses.

I love this set! I live the little launch, spike and boomerang bro switching and further features! I love the way boomerang bro and spikey bro thing looks! And i do agree i feel like another or a few mor characters should have come in this set like something on the mushroom luanchpad overrall i would rate this set 8 out of ten great looks and great play feature defo getting this

When I bought this I found a way to remove Big Spike from the stand and have him be his own figure and for the vine pieces they make good seaweed pieces for if you wanna do an underwater MOC or something
