Great video and looks like a lot of fun. Only been on meridian once and it was last year. Targeted kokes but only caught 1 first year fish. Glad to see that they are in there. Might need to venture down there again.
Yeah I went there back before I started doing videos in 2014/15 and it was really good with a lot of quality fish 2016 it was dead and I never went back. Really glad I decided to go back and give it a try. We pretty much had the whole lake to ourselves. Thanks for the commets, tight lines!
To be honest my sonar wasnt showing it well but Id say yes as the fish marks were in that 25-35ft zone. At first I put the 3rd and 4th rods deeper. They weren't seeing much action, brought them up after a few and all rods started going bonkers.
Running a dowrigger off of you kayak or no? You can use the same. If you dont have a down rigger you can get a keel or kidney sinker to help get you down, then do a slow troll. Line counter reel would be helpful to dial you in with some trial and error with length of line our Spinners behind a doger would work good too. Late season you can try jigging them, but electronics are needed to locate the school. Not sure how you are setup on your kayak. Hope this comes across helpful. Tight lines!
Howdy, I'm new to the fishing in the PWN. I have just installed 2 Cannon downriggers on my boat. What size weights did you use at Lake Meridian, I have never fished it.
Killed it out there. Lonzo haulin in the fatties. 👍
Yeah, he was getting all the love! Lol
Wow, you’re really logging the miles… enjoying the content as you explore everything Washington has to offer! Keep up the great work!

Typically I use 8lb weights in all the freshwater lakes. I use 12lbs in the sound, however some guys go as heavy as 15 for the sound.
how deep (average) is the lake?
Out in the middle around 45 but deepest spot is around 80ft.
