I can confirm that. i've been watching lots of ""Everybody's Fool" live performances on youtube and back in 2003-2007 she used to singg this song live in lower key compared to the album version. Now she sings the song in album key. She literally evolved her already phenomenal voice through the years, its quite amazing.
@@crust5909 Iam an Evanescence fan as well since a kid.Now iam 29..But i can tell you that indeed singing can be improved over the years but the mic technology and acoustics as well have improved tbh.

These idiots complaining about drum fills... I'm sorry but as a drummer myself put yourself in this guy's sitch. You are playing live on a song you didn't write. The original track is flawless but putting your own spin on a song that's more than a decade old is nothing to scoff at. He kills it let it go.

I honestly love his drumming he's awesome, for me his fills give more feeling to the songs, that's just me🤷🏿♀️
Yes, sometimes I think he exaggerates a little in the number of fills. But the guy is an animal on the drums.

Because you are used to the more "pop" drumming they had in the first album. I get it, you may like better the song as it was recorded, but Will definitely improve evanescence after Thehe Open Door era.

Don’t fuck with what Josh Freese created. If the song needed those drum fills - Josh would have put them there! This guy needs to chill out and play what was written!
Its fair to like a certain way a musician played. You gotta know that bands mature, members leave and their songs change with them.
Josh brought a pop feel to the song which made it amazing! I love that version to! The new fella brings his own talent to the band and he is a beast! this fella brings his own sound to the song that adds to the vibe.
If Amy and the band thought this fella brought “injustice” to their songs they wouldn’t have brought his talent in the band.
The drummer is free to make the live version his own if he wants to and if the rest of the band approves. You can always go listen to the original - it's not like it suddenly ceased to exist.
This isn’t Vivaldi, Mozart or Bach for the musicians to forcefully play what was originally written. Will is a more interesting live and studio drummer than Rocky ever was imo. He brought a new vibe into the band and made their live shows a lot more fun to listen to. If you really care that much about what was originally written, you can always go back to the studio version.
I hear what you’re all saying - but I’m from the school of thought that I came to listen to the song I’ve always loved - played how I know it’s played. The song is the song. Drums are like all other instruments / vocals. Would be weird if guitar players started playing different riffs or singers sang different words and couldn’t sing along.
And more importantly - it fucks with my air drums! :)
@@craighall9282that’s not a fair comparison. It’s like adding harmonic squeals or neck chokes (not a guitarist but I have seen this live tons) where they add extra. There’s no rewriting to the parts.
