My wife's been impressed with Rhodia paper only recently deciding to try it, as a lifelong fountain pen user, with her old Parker Quink, Lamy, ATCross (later finding it was Pelikan 4001 ink bottled for Cross) Sheaffer & MontBlanc inks, as well as only 2 years ago deciding to try a Diamine, Ferris Wheel Press and Dominant Industry ink for the first time. 'Sheen' is known to her as being occasional if you're pausing on a word to think and a little extra ink gets laid down, so colours which separate being purposely made to do so, is a new one on her. ✒
She looked at these inks when they came out recently and first thing she wondered with coated FPF friendly papers is if the coating would interfere as surely it can't be made to interact with all papers in the exact same way! 📖So thanks for your video! And indeed, it doesn't seem to work on Rhodia at all, so as she has most colours, her advice on this would be to buy the ink assuming you'll get the base colour only and any sheen in another colour which may show is just a bonus and on that basis you won't be disappointed.
Thanks for your video and happy writing.✍
PS as it took a while to understand mag-enta as you pronounced it, to be helpful it sounds like "ma-jenta" 💜

Amazing how the paper makes or brackes the look of the inks. Great video, Danke.

Yes, the paper is so important with sheen inks. More than normally with fountain pens.
