What a wonderful video ; Everything is perfect to include the editing and thoroughness of the historical data . One can tell this took a tremendous amount of time . Wonderful !
Your videos are so good! It definitely shows that you are a historian. Do you know about Santa Elena up in Beaufort South Carolina? And also, it’s hard to find any maps, but that area of South Carolina and Georgia used to be Florida, didn’t it?
Spain claimed the land north of Florida, but never moved into the area other than a few small missions. The British world move into those areas, being the 1st Europeans to settle the area. It was common for the main European colonizers (Britain, France, Portugal & Spain) to claim land that they didn't settle or defend, Today's border between Georgia and Florida was pretty much the border between the Spanish & British colonies by the mid 1700s. I'm afraid I don't know too much about SC history. I've mostly focused on Florida.
Well, Santa Elena was connected to the fort in Saint Augustine. They found the colony out on Parris island Marine Corps depot in the 70s. some people were out golfing on PI and swung up a piece of pottery
Outstanding presentation
The 2 story Public Library is really cool too!
