you do realize that people responsible for New Vegas would be very hard to resummon in order to reboot New Vegas. The only reason why we actually got New Vegas and never again anything like it, is from what I've heard the fact, that a lot of people working on Fallout 1 and 2, which I think aren't perfect games, were in the company at that time. So, it was literally a perfect storm.

Truly, Caesar's Legion and House/Strip are very lacking questline and content wise, it's chalenging to actually level up in the vanilla game by not helping The ncr, and the lack of a companions for each of them is also a huge blow, if only obsidian had more development time
It's a damn shame so much of the Legion content was cut because they are already a very unflushed out faction if there's ever a remaster of Vegas I would love to see all of this back in the game and hopefully some Legion companions like there was supposed to be

Part of me thinks the slaves only saying "excuse me" works best as it speaks even more to how bad things are for them. Maybe having one or two slaves who would dare to speak to you would work.

Imagine how good this game would be if Bethesda allowed Obsidian more than 18 months. They should of given them a few years for a game like this. Hopefully Microsoft allows obsidian to make a remake or a remaster with all the cut content. It be awesome if you could update your original copy to have all the cut content.
Man that's the one thing that always botherd me about New Vegas was that it never had a post game world like Fallout 3 did, granted Fallout 3 didn't get it until the dlc but still. I hated always having the final quest active and never getting to see the world changed because of my actions after the battle, even after all the dlc's. Breaks my heart even more seeing it was in the works at one point
It is really bizarre how in the game you can slaughter literally every legionary in the camp and the slaves will act like nothing has happened. I'm betting that freeing the slaves or starting a slave uprising was part of the cut content.
I really do question were they would go though. I mean congratulations, your free, do whatever. They would probably be eaten alive by the Mohave before they even make it to civilization. Don't get me wrong, I hate slavery, don't think it's the right decision here, but just freeing them is death sentence, you'd need to escort them to civilization, get them set up with homes and people to train them in useful skills for everyday life. They are probably also malnourished, which is very dangerous in a post apocalyptic world.

Knowing the Legion they’d probably send the motherload of counterattacks to Caesars fort to investigate and reclaim any lost slaves/soldiers I’d be reasonably terrified of leaving even after my current handlers are all dead because it’s a vast river and a desert to cross with only rags to my name, I’d bet a chunk of slaves would remain and wait for the next wave of troops for 'help' than burn to death in the heat trying to escape
i think the lines about the Khans attacking both sides were probably for the independent New Vegas endings since the courier can become the leader of the Khans
There are two options by which you can get the Khans to fight both the Legion and the NCR at Hoover Dam. One of 'em is indeed the option that comes with becoming Chief of the Khans and picking the "we fight for ourselves" dialogue option when talking to Regis, the other is when you finish Oh My Papa, and pick the "Ghosts and Martyrs" dialogue option

I was always disappointed there wasn't more content for the Legion. Playing the NCR there's quests around every corner for them, Legion there's only a small handful and a few of them are super hidden and the average player would never encounter them. Like handing over a bug that an NCR Sgt wanted you to plant in Cottonwood cove, which then starts unique NCR patrol spawns being ambushed by the Legion because you have the NCR false plans for example. Although one awesome thing about playing Legion is it forces you to use the disguise system constantly. Even going to the main area of the Strip you have to disguise or you get attacked by the MP there. It really creates a feeling of being an enemy agent behind lines.
Why are gamers so bad at interpreting text. Like you know the Legion literally burned down an entire town and slaughtered the citizens just because they didn't like them gambling? Put two and two together I'm begging you.
Obsidian games, the best since the 90s. Made me falling in love with Abe’s Odyssey first as a child with all the misterious and fascinating/scary but interesting and fun story and scenes, and then Fallout New Vegas. It didn’t surprise me to know that it was a Obsidian creation. I’ve bought FNV in a Cex shop, second hand. I’ve bought for like £4 and I know from the cover I was going to enjoy it.
Someone should make a mod or combine all of the existing mods that restore content into one making it so they don't have any conflicts and work, we need at least that. I know most of the things that got cut are probably not in the game anymore, but the things that have working dialogue and are possible to do should be implemented.
They need to make a remastered or special edition of the game with restored cut content and some new content. Considering how much had to be cut for the Xbox releases it would be cool to finally see the game fully formed.
You do realise that just because something can be put in doesn't mean it always does, sometimes game devs work on something, realise it doesn't work, is counter-intuitive to the design, better alternative etc. Best example of this is probably the cut bunker

I really wish we could have seen what Denver and other occupied Legion territories were like. Imagine exploring and not a single bandit in sight with maybe the occasional wildlife encounter. Traders stocked with better equipment (no chems though). Maybe even a friendly face or two.
I am not a fan of the slaves but I always admired the legions mindset of beeing sturdy and hardy and the discipline they have,and of you know the lore they are very good to there citisins, one of my 2 main charcs is with the legion. I would like a new vegas remake with all cut content added plus maybe more

It would've been nice to have an Evil mod where you could side with Mortimer and be free to kidnap and then eat a certain Legion Frumentarius in the plain view of Everyone on the strip. Unique awards and multiplier for eating Caesar, in plain view of his guards would've been nice too, like the Terrifying Presence on steroids. "The Legion, hah?! I'm here to revive the glory of the White Gloves and DINE on EVERY CREATURE in the Wasteland"

Clearly, the original plan was to continue the game after the second battle at the Dam But I still have no idea what was meant to be the real end game, maybe they wanted to make it all the way to the capital of both NCR and Legion? Maybe add those regions through a future dlc?
These mods are very out dated. I recommend Factions Reloaded Legion, Legion Quests Redone and Nova Arizona - The last one is in Alpha but proves to be more realized than the Arizona mod referenced here
A full remake of New Vegas in Unreal Engine 5. Including all cut content and modern UI while keeping it modable. I'd pay 4x the price of a regular AAA game. And I'd never leave home again.
I hope that Microsoft allows obsidian to re make the game but in its full glory but only if they let the devs get a cut per copy sould in a non mmo classic style of the lone wondering game and also if obsidian want to make it I hope they do want to make it and with its full glory look at f4 big and better mechanics

@@mcsmash4905 actually the lower rank soldiers are having throwing-spear and such too primitive weapon, but centurions bring thermic-lance or something "futuristic". in contrast, NCR rangers carry antimaterial rifles, and even lower-rank soldiers have also minimum of firearms. I can see as far as really "roman empire like" slaves in the main fort of the Region, and so it proves their terrible financial and quite little human resources may be obvious when compared to the NCR.
@@kimetsu_kids you are missing the point here , legion is actively trying not to depend on technology , and rangers are very rare and same goes for heavy troopers , the vast majority if ncr troops are conscripts who would rather run away than fight and if you get close enough ((which the legion does no matter the cost)) they are slaughtered

Consoles and time are responsible for the cut content.
You do realise that just because something can be put in doesn't mean it always does, sometimes game devs work on something, realise it doesn't work, is counter-intuitive to the design, better alternative etc. Best example of this is probably the cut bunker

I'm happy they didn't add the Lanius line: "What will we do now?" Last thing I want to hear is Oxhorn saying that Legion won't succeed after Caesar's death.
The wild child and liked dialogue for slaves are in the game and I play on Xbox so no mods
it seems surprising how much the legion slaves liked the legion.

I really wish we could have seen what Denver and other occupied Legion territories were like. Imagine exploring and not a single bandit in sight with maybe the occasional wildlife encounter. Traders stocked with better equipment (no chems though). Maybe even a friendly face or two.
I am not a fan of the slaves but I always admired the legions mindset of beeing sturdy and hardy and the discipline they have,and of you know the lore they are very good to there citisins, one of my 2 main charcs is with the legion.
I would like a new vegas remake with all cut content added plus maybe more
The great kahns one you would have to become the great kahns leader and twll them to fight for their own glory, thats insane this stuff got cut out and the little thing you can do thats HIDDEN behind many prerequisites and they have this ankcoledge it means this game was truly 10x better than what it is now, GIVE BETHESDA MORE HATE for the time restraints

Is there any Mods that add these remove portions into the game?
It would've been nice to have an Evil mod where you could side with Mortimer and be free to kidnap and then eat a certain Legion Frumentarius in the plain view of Everyone on the strip. Unique awards and multiplier for eating Caesar, in plain view of his guards would've been nice too, like the Terrifying Presence on steroids.

I got a question: Why do you use shadowless maps? The area just looks weird to me without shadows.

Would be cool if they remade New Vegas. Just some better graphics, random events, basically what New Vegas might have been if they had more time to make it (as well as better engine so that areas like Freeside and The Strip is more open)

The slaves voice lines for reacting to EDE worked on the Xbox 360 version, on mine it was at least.
Clearly, the original plan was to continue the game after the second battle at the Dam
But I still have no idea what was meant to be the real end game, maybe they wanted to make it all the way to the capital of both NCR and Legion? Maybe add those regions through a future dlc?
crazy how bethesda gives their games 5+ years and obsidian only 18 months

These mods are very out dated. I recommend Factions Reloaded Legion, Legion Quests Redone and Nova Arizona - The last one is in Alpha but proves to be more realized than the Arizona mod referenced here

Obsidian did a great job considering the time constraints that Bethesda put on them.
A full remake of New Vegas in Unreal Engine 5. Including all cut content and modern UI while keeping it modable.
I'd pay 4x the price of a regular AAA game. And I'd never leave home again.
I hope that Microsoft allows obsidian to re make the game but in its full glory but only if they let the devs get a cut per copy sould in a non mmo classic style of the lone wondering game and also if obsidian want to make it

It's really funny and extraordinary irony that Caesar, the over-boss who completely denied the using of pre-war civilization's item, is equipped with ballistic fist
not as ironic as you think , legion soldiers must earn their right to use any sort of tech , and their veterans use some pretty advanced weapons themselves
@@mcsmash4905 actually the lower rank soldiers are having throwing-spear and such too primitive weapon, but centurions bring thermic-lance or something "futuristic".
in contrast, NCR rangers carry antimaterial rifles, and even lower-rank soldiers have also minimum of firearms.
I can see as far as really "roman empire like" slaves in the main fort of the Region, and so it proves their terrible financial and quite little human resources may be obvious when compared to the NCR.
@@kimetsu_kids you are missing the point here , legion is actively trying not to depend on technology , and rangers are very rare and same goes for heavy troopers , the vast majority if ncr troops are conscripts who would rather run away than fight and if you get close enough ((which the legion does no matter the cost)) they are slaughtered
@@mcsmash4905 I thought all NCR troops were good-trained even if it's lower rank I didn't know they are like mercenaries.
@@kimetsu_kids its just quantity over quality , conscripts which are the regular army troops you see get minimal training and are shipped off to the mojave , chief hanlon also mentions how they lose like 1000 of them per year , the ncr troopers are seemingly helpless without the rangers , while in contrast the typical legion soldier is excited to meet his enemy
