Seeing the one Massey Ferguson tractor brings back memories of when I was a teen working for this one guy who owned a nice new Massey Ferguson tractor which I loved to drive since it was so perfect for what we used it for.
From November 1978 through July 1981, I worked on the assembly line of the Massey Ferguson North American Tractor Plant, in Detroit Michigan. I mounted engines on 135s, 235s and 185s. My line was known as the A Line.
How you liked it? Was it a good place to work?
OH, Ernest 'ya done gone and done it again! Warms my heart to see those Minnie-Mo combines! 2-row cornhead and old paddlewheel grainhead. OH MY how things have changed! Didn't even have enclosed cabs back then!
Yes my dad had a 45 John Deere with no cab.
I may live in John Deere country but I'm damn proud to work on my Massy175. It's a timeless classic.

I just bought a MF 1966 180 with a Perkins Diesel great tractor
The rears on that Oliver 2255 are pure works of art. They certainly don't make them like that anymore. Don't get me wrong, some of the newer designs from Claas, Fendt and Deutz-Fahr are pretty sexy looking, but it's simply not the same.

if I'm not mistaken this guy has an example of every model MF made during that mid 60's to 70's period. If it is to be sold it needs to be sold as the complete collection not broken up

A 1969 Massey Ferguson 1080 was the backbone of my fencing business for years and even today if I needed a workhorse tractor to do some serious work I would go buy a restored MF before I would buy a new tractor

That 2255 Oliver sounds like it had that cat 3208 in it, I didn't know they had those in that Tractor.

Oliver and Massey F used the cat engine in 2255 and MF 4WD articulating tractors.

Way back in the 1950's our local farmer in the U.K. owned an MM trailed combine harvester pulled by a John Deer tractor that was the last time I ever saw an MM combine until now, I guess they were not all that popular. I now know what the MM stands for. 8:49

You are to be congratulated on having assembled such a lovely collection. I can understand you would have a genuine reason to have decided to sell them. However, it's upsetting to see your fine collection of machinery might not be kept together. I genuinely hope another equally-avid enthusiast takes over as trusted custodian of them all. Sadly, I don't have a way of financing that, otherwise I would jump at the opportunity.
