There was an article I read regarding the scenes of Sayu getting kidnapped. And people asking if Misa should've been the one being kidnapped instead. If Misa was the case, Light wouldn't have cared that much and left her to die. But since this is a family member getting kidnapped, Light's concern for Sayu makes sense.

there's nothing left to see. It's implied that Sayu is doing rehab from being severely traumatized. Her mom was walking her through the park on a wheelchair. What else is there to show? She obviously doesn't go to school or have a job, and she probably doesn't do anything at home either. Showing her rehabilitation would be way too off-topic for this anime because it would be such a long process from the state she was in, they didn't have a quick and dirty way to show it, so it's just left at that - the long road to recovery.
