Is it sad that I know the product or brand of the item when you start to grab the case, even before it comes into focus. Started selecting almost a year ago. Been in freezer one or two days consistently for the last three months.
Ouch. I felt those noggin hits. Man, thats crazy you gotta wrap your pallets. We've got wrap machines where i work.
Soon the machines will do everything...

Talkman has trouble understanding 2 numbers. Not only would there be extra time saying 1 more number. I can imagine it would increase the odds of a communication error and potentially cost even more time. Some warehouses even have you repeat the number of cases you picked. That would definitely get old and slow me down.
@@xqeze Talkman is frustrating because we also have to say the amount of the item we're picking, sometimes it doesn't understand my voice so I have to say the number of items multiple times
@@itsbobcat Yeah I heard some system require that. Thank god ours doesn't require an amount of items. She can barely understand the word no.

Question, Is the freezer section in your warehouse a seniority position?
The reason I ask is, I don’t see ANYONE else in the freezer. (Not even a high low operator) Lol
If you watched till the end, you would know it was all just a nightmare 😆. It was a low volume day, and I just happened not to run into anyone. There were only 3 lifts and maybe 8 pullers in the freezer that day. But yes, it is mostly higher seniority on this shift.

No. I'm pretty short. I just bend my knees a little to get in those lower slots. I've never had back issues. Make sure to hold the product close to you and don't twist with weight in your hands. You know lift with your legs not with your back. All those things they tell you about proper lift technique work.
@@xqeze I've done this for 12 yrs and have severe back problems from the low pick slots. Crazy things is. I would do box meat and produce with little to no back issues due to no low pick slots 😂

It does if your physical movement slows because of it. Typically, I say it before I'm done grabbing the previous slot so I can verify where I'm going next. I also say it on my way to a slot so that I can be sure I'm going to the correct slot. I say it's better to do that instead of going to the wrong slot and turning around. Someone said in comments that it causes an error in the system and you loose time but I think they are trying to make sense of them getting a bad time. I say it alot and don't realize it and even if I don't need to out of habit. It keeps me heading in the right direction and I've never noticed a difference it time between saying it and not. It also might depend on the software your warehouse is using. It might penalize you in some warehouses. It doesn't in mine.

@RamFamBam If I'm saying it lot it means I'm not focused or paying attention, which means I'm not as smooth or as fast. Saying say again isn't the cause of the slow down. it's a result of your state of awareness. Yes, I'm slower when I say it, but I'm not slower because I say it. Idk what system we have but no one I talked to is aware of it causing an error.

What is the black thing in your wrap I tried making one
We call it a roller. When we are shipped a pallet of wrap it usually comes with a couple of them. I found it on Amazon and put link in description. It may be too wide for your wrap. The rolls vary in width, but if it works, it's definitely worth getting. It takes a while to get used to holding. However, it will save you time and the struggle of walk crouching to get the bottom of your load wrapped.
Hey I wanted to know the camera you're using where to get it from?
I added a link in the description. I use the ordro ep7, but the ep8 is out. I've modified it, though. I took it apart. The guts of it are in my hat, and the lens sits on my skin in between my eyes. But it has threads on the side, so I originally made a mount for it and clipped it to my hat. The headband it comes with will work, but I wear glasses. The camera would catch the edge of my glasses.

I change it in editing. If my company can't prove that I'm making video. Then they can't tell me to stop or fire me.
