- Black Clover Manga released Black Clover Chapter 341 which reveals that Asta has unlocked the ability to utilize "Heavenly Severance" which is an advanced form of Ki in which you combine both your Magical power and Ki to unleash a powerful attack capable of defeating the Gods. Now Asta is training with the Seven Ryuzen to hone his skills so he can return to the Clover Kingdom and defeat Lucius once and for all. However, during this training Asta’s, while speaking to Ichika, find out Yami killed his entire clan. We go over how Yami was actually not the one who killed his Clan but instead was framed as the one who did it so a certain person gets all the credit after he “fixes” all the mistakes Yami made.

If Yami had actually killed his clan, Ryuu would have known about it like he does rn. But the fact that he didn't tell Ichika about Yami being innocent despite his clairvoyance means that he really did betray Yami by framing him and letting him off the country in an "fishing accident " and then telling the Hino country to believe that Yami killed the clan with clairvoyance being his alibi. Yami must have been in the way of Ryuu becoming the Shogun. I'm sure this must have been due to the manipulation of Lucius to mislead Ryuu and now Ryuu is training Asta as a form of self redemption.

Honestly, after you went through your theories, it kind of makes sense for both Ryu and Lucious to have had a hand in it at the same time. Ryu, to bring his country together (doesn't mean he felt good about doing it to Yami), and Lucious to ensure a wielder of dark magic is in the Clover Kingdom. Both to achieve their goals and now a battle between clairvoyance and time magic with Asta as the key player/key issue.
When you think about the first appearance of Dimensional Slash you could argue Yami uses Zetten or imitates zetten to do this slash
It's more similar to death thrust. Which is technique. Zetten is not magic/spell, its a technique that applies magic power/internal mana in a different fashion. Dimension slash is a literally spell/magic. Zetten condense your magic power/internal mana then erupts to generate immense physical force. Death thrust condenses the mana zone (aka ambient mana) and then erupts it to generate immense force.
It would most likely be an imitation, if he could really use zetten he would’ve been too powerful
Yami probably took the blame for his best friend, I could imagine that all seeing eye came from a devil or curse, it could be a Nacht situation, where the devil was summoned so the magic less boy, could gain amazing power to help him become his nation’s version of the wizard king, and like Nacht with his family, it ended up killing those in the area being his clan. Yami saved his best friend from the curse or devil similar to what he did for Charlotte, when her curse was destroying the clover kingdom, and he took the blame for his friend.
The story gave us a few friendships just like Asta, and Yuno, with the Asta character always having a tragic end or a sad story that follows, it’s possible this version of Asta made a deal that ended up sacrificing his clan for the power to achieve his goal, with Yami (the Yuno of the friendship), suffering from the Asta in the friendship having a happy ending.

The way he was thinking about the different output of attacks may play a part for different possibilities for his different union forms. If these three of seven members references the same form of fighting like his swords I think it'll be cool to see
1. I’m pretty sure Lucious played the long game with Yami (like devils do: example-the elves).
2. I’m also pretty sure the Shoguns eye is a devils eye. Also making him a secret villain who is probably working with Lucius. I think he is training Asta so he can double cross Lucius.
ASTA says Ichika and Ryu have similar ki to Yami, we know Ichika is his sister, but I don't think you can have similar ki to just your best friend. Ryu is something more to Yami, because it's strange how he looks like Yami and have similar ki

Maybe Ryuu is a bastard son thus having less legitimate position or claim in the family as it's head after their father and since Sukehiro was the one who might've been the most suitable child it makes sense for Ryuu to betray him at some point to gain his magic eye knowing he can never be stronger.

I know Yami is powerful but to kill his whole clan at 13 it’s kinda hard to believe unless he was a crazy prodigy and he must have had a good reason to do it or he was framed.
Still I’m looking forward to seeing Yami childhood in the land of the sun with Ichika. I hope they meet again and talk things out, it’s been 17 years since they last saw eachother.

In the world of Black Clover, we’ve seen that families tend to share magical traits.
Right before Ichika attacked the bandits at the market, it looked as if she has the same dark magic that Yami has.
If that’s the case, it’s safe that it’s magical trait, that was common amongst their clan.
In Ichika’s flash back we saw Yami telling her to stay close to him.
It’s plausible that there was some type of an attack that killed everyone but Ichika and Yami.
And somehow, ‘conveniently’ Ryuya just so happened to be there to save Ichika; while Yami was transported to the Clover Kingdom.
If that is what happened, we’ve seen that straight things don’t just happen in Black Clover.
What’s notable is that Lucius thinks that Asta’s dead.
If you combine that with the fact that Nacht was unable to locate Asta, we can assume that there’s either a barrier of some kind between the Land of the Sun and Clover Kingdom, or there’s a limit in the range one can sense the magic between the two locations.
So, if we believe that Yami was taken on purpose, the question becomes was he really taken, or was he (kidnapped) sent to the Clover Kingdom, in order to facilitate Lucius plan?
And was Yami’s clan killed as a result; as Lucius had no further need for the clan, or he was afraid of the clan’s power’s?
If these are the facts of the matter, the next question would be is who told Lucius about Yami’s clan’s powers, and who was behind Yami’s disappearance, and possibly the death of - all but one - the remaining clan members?
After the big Lucius revile, the smart money would be that Ryuya was in contact with Lucius and he was the one that attacked Yami’s clan and sent Yami to the Clover Kingdom.
As a result, a path that has allowed Ryuya opportunity to “unite” the Kingdom of the Rising Sun, has been conveniently laid out.
And by saving Ichika (and now Asta) was truly happenstance (not), or, security in case Lucius attempts a double cross, which of course is something he would totally do.
So, Ryuya is really a bad guy, who he helped Lucius kidnap Yami, and he also killed Yami’s clan and framed him.
Ichika has grown up with a lie about her brother, and Ryuya has developing a contingency plan against Lucius, and the enviable attack against the Land of the Rising Sun.
- Perhaps Yami was trying to run away from the people who murdered his clan and as a result he ended up in the Clover Kingdom.
- He may have ran which helped pull the attention away from his sister. Ichika may have seen this as him abandoning the clan, leaving them to be massacred.
- Also could Asta's dad be a part of this in some way? Maybe he helped or even lead the masscre of the Sukehiro Clan?
- Asta's dad may have been looking for Yami and (intentionally or not) came to the clover kingdom where then met Licita

I have a feeling Yami is connected to Lucifugus somehow. The last panel with the ropes looks like his horns. Not to mention the magic Lucifugus used to kill Nachts family looked real similar to dark magic.

What if Yami didnt KILL his clan, but his actions lead them to being killed? Like the fact that he disapeared in and of itself left everyone but his sister to die and that she blaims him. Or perhaps The Devil Servants killed them all trying to get to Yami and his Dark Magic. This would even explain why Ryu doesn't say anything because, in these cases, it would still technically be a correct statment.
I don't think any of the devil servants apart from Lucius would have known about Yamis true power since he was in the land of the rising sun

There is probably a dark curse involved. I am willing to bet that the country is no longer a physical location and is trapped in limbo (space and time/life and death) because of that incident. That's why Ryu can only see the present and nothing more and the others are stuck preparing for a battle that may or may not come. Yami somehow avoided the curse and without a physical location in sight assumed all to be dead. Otherwise the dude we know in the present would've gone back. Now Asta holds another country in his hands to save since he might be the only one capable of leaving...like Yami did.

Theory 101
- Lucius used Astaroth's Time Magic to determine what the best course of action to take to achive his goal.
- He saw Yami and went to his country to fetch him.
- Yami left to take the blame for himself cause maybe her sister was actually part of the reason their clan died. OR, the clan was tricked by Lucius ergo they needed to be eliminated.
- Ryuu was hopeless as he didn't had a chance to help Yami, resulting a wish. Where he wished to have something to protect his friends, family, and country. Ergo learning forbidden magic to gain his current Clairvoyance Eye, where he's using now to do the same as what Lucius did but in a good way.
Note:
Lucius' Time Magic = see the future and act to get what's best to achieve his goal.
Ryuu's Clairvoyance Eye = see what's currently happening and act upon it to help others do the right decisions.

I think that this will tie into the history of the land about their fear of the foreigners. Yami might be associate with the foreigner or invited him in and indirectly causing his clan to be wipe out.
If her sister says that yami killed the whole entire clan, if it surely wasn't yami then the next best possible choice would be the wizard kind because we know that julius was somewhere around that area trying to recruit yami in that flashback we got that happened near the shore at the beach. WE also have to take in consideration that julius has or had transformation magic so he may of transformed into yami for a brief moment and possibly killed off the clan right before they both left to go to the clover kingdom.

Lol no. Yall are literally forgetting that zetten doesn't use magic. It's an entirely non magical application of internal mana/magic power. Magic power is just the fuel for magic, but it is not magic.
If Ichika tried the technique she used against Asta against Lucifero, the results would be very different (she'd most likely die) since he doesn't need to worry about the physical force anti-magic cannot negate. He can simpley overpower the physical force with more magic power since he so much of it. His physical strength is boosted by his innate magic power without using magic/spells. Remember magic power still carries energy. Actual magic/spells performs way better against matter and physical things than anti-magic while anti-magic performs better against magic than physical attacks. Zetten uses magic power to create physical force, instead of magical effects. Magic attacks can most likely overpower zetten, since it can simply beat it with hax. PotDK absolutely negs zetten as well as any other magical hax. Zetten generates physical force as its greatest output via ki while spells are in fact magical. Anti-magic's relationship to magic Is more similar to: Magic's relationship with the physical world: Anti-magic>magic

So magic power isn't magic, it's used to create magic but it's not magic, magic power/yoryoku is something the human body naturally generates, think of it as like a protein. Magic aka「魔法 Mahō」or spells are created from magic power. Magic is just one of the ways magic power/internal internal mana be used, but not the only way Zetten which is not magic is able to utilize magic power. Finral even stated that Gadja was floating without using magic in chapter 225, via just mana manipulation. Magic power is refined into magic, pure mana manipulation is not refinement. So Zetten follows a similar logic. When you use zetten you're not refining your magic power, you're compressing into a concentrated space to then erupt it which generates tremendous force. So zetten uses magic power to create physical force while magic uses magic power to create magic effects. Also asta can't shut off magic power unless he's in TDU, so Ichiks isn't using magic/spells. She's just using yoryoku/magic power, not magic. Anytime spell is mentioned in the japanese raws they use 「魔法 Mahō」and when they refer to magic power they use 「魔力 maryoku」for some reason they english translations translate 「魔法 Mahō」 as "spells" instead of magic and 「魔力 maryoku」 as "magic " for shorthand instead of magic power. Sometimes they translate. 「魔力 maryoku」 as "mana" as well

It's also possible that Ryu wasn't in power when Yami was framed, and might've helped get him out of there before he was likely executed. Ryu may have wanted to repair Yami's image, but may not have been able to as that would likely cause him to lose his position. Maybe Asta's dad had a hand in helping Yami or framing him?

My theory goes a little like this, Ryu sacrificed the Yami clan for Astroth's eye so he can see the future to do exactly what Lucious is doing but much more civil. Yami's sister being young and impressionable walked in right after Yami arrived and she was traumatized by the site of the Yami clan being purged, or someone made her see a bloodstained Captain Yami which in turn gave her the idea that he was the culprit. I still haven't worked out the whole thing but I hope I'm not the only one with this theory.

I'm gonna throw it out there and say Lucius took advantage of Julius' position as Wizard King of the Clover Kingdom to plan a sea expedition to look for dark magic outside his continent. Lucius needs Julius because the Spade Kingdom is landlocked and all its neighbours are enemies, so he needs a high authority position of a country that has sea ports to discover other countries that potentially have the magic attributes he's looking for to create the Tree of Qliphoth. This could also explain how the Hino country folk associate light hair colour with foreigners as the Zogratis siblings all have black hair like them.
I'm also gonna throw another theory out that after the last Tree of Qliphoth event, all the dark magic and world tree magic users were annihilated to cut off the family bloodlines to prevent another tree being created, which is why the only user of world tree magic was cursed at a young age and thus probably wasn't born with world tree magic to begin with, and the only user of dark magic is the only overseas foreigner in the entire continent.

A theory: Lucius had manipulated Yami by altering his soul, or he had astaroth inhabit yami to set Lucius’ plans to steal Lucifero’s heart. Due to the swap, or possession by Astaroth, Yami’s demeanor and influence on ryu were drastically different from the way he treated Asta. And he probably has no memory of killing his clan because Lucius altered his memories with Astaroth’s powers
