To be fair yuno progressed pretty good as well it's similar to the naruto sasuke situation. Even tho sasuke seemed stronger throughout the story at alot of points in the story naruto felt far less superior to sasuke for not being able to save him. Look what happened with pain, in their first fight at final valley sasuke almost lost after he sprouted a few tails. One more tail sprout sasuke prolly would've been killed early on but that doesn't make for a good story. Same with Asta and yuno, Asta started off with no grimoire, got his late, yuno always gets higher ranks due to achievements and Asta being feared as a devil even if Asta saved them from lucifero and the devils do you not think seeing your rival get ranked higher then you even tho you did the hard part would not cause you to think your rival is better or pacing ahead of you? That's a slap in the face to Asta, yuno is revealed to be a royal and has 2 strong grimoires while Astas back story is still mostly in the shadows to compare their whole stories together and their accomplishments Astas and yunos start off very tragic, as of now yuno is more recognized except by the people ( the captains and other members of their respective squads) who were in the fight against lucifero so of course it makes sense for Asta to feel the way he did. Julius did say it's about merit and astas merits aren't fully recognized sadly but they sure as hell are about to be. I just hope it's not a yuno Asta tag team to defeat luicius cause Asta deserve that W more then anyone maybe yuno will slip up and end up a paladin and Asta has to face him before luicius making Asta have to defeat yuno and 1v1 luicius
But as of now Asta should see the difference between them. He's ahead of yuno and even yuno knows it
They're rivals, of course they're supposed to compare themselves to each other. That's how people progress, from having a rival. The problem was that Asta was doubting his own strength for whatever reason despite the fact he's been the only one to take down literally every major threat to the kingdom thus far by himself and Liebe.
I can’t wait to see how they connect everything up; asta’s father, the potatoes in hage village being local to the land of the rising sun, how sister lily even knew it existed.

He had to learn ki for around 3yrs to be able to learn zetten in few hrs.
Don't just ignore what he had to train to reach here.
@Elleon his ki was the same from when he first got it until the time skip. Instead, what makes sense is Asta learning to control anti-magic as we saw at the volcano and against Zagred.

Asta says he has no talent but he has the counter to his universe and learns new broken techniques after like 2 tries
The reason why he managed to acquire zetten so quickly is because he was training his ki for 2-3 years so he had the fundamentals down according to ryu and zetten is just another application to ki so IMO asta getting zetten isn’t really from his talent but from his 2-3 years of ki training.Overall the point is that asta’s hardwork and consistency is what got him this far.

It's not like he went through your average training session for a few hours took a break went back ate dinner got some sleep and went back at in the am. I mean come on now you saying he learned it in 2 tries shows how much you pay attention to the story, it's not a simple minded story if that's what piques your interest go read a different manga
@@Daniel-xb4oy also I would argue anti magic while it is a gift has more disadvantages then advantages like the time limiter, to much physical strain on his body,facing discrimination from the clover citizens just because he is a devil possessed and it destroys team coordination when asta uses on his whole body (these things will prob change in the future though but currently these issues have yet to be resolved)
basically, asta has basically no weaknesses now. anti-magic counters magic and his zetten allows him to cover his physical weaknesses with prediction and physical enhancement.

I've seen someone on twitter say that Sister Lily wanted to teleport Asta to the underworld but because of the dragon's blood in the ocean ( which is directly connected to hell ), he ended up in land of the rising sun.
That seems like a more badass reason imo but your theory makes more sense imo since that was main thought too xD

We've all been waiting ( I know I sure as hell have) for this moment in black clover and even for ABDs vid on this covering this exact moment on this journey for Asta. Can't wait to see what's to come next, tbh just happy we all made it this far in the black clover saga everything is starting to come together even nicely. I was waiting patiently after the leaks got released earlier this week for the chapter, seen this notification from ABD about Asta and googled the tcbscans right away. Exactly. It doesn't matter how strong you are if your opponent keeps regenerating and can't really die. I think that that is the reason that people believe that the Spirit Guardians aren't strong, but forget that they were basically going up against "immortal" enemies.

Not just that but if you pay attention to their magic attributes, the Spirit Guardians were hilariously hard countered. Potrov the vine guy fought against Halbet whose Hair Magic could bypass his vines and Smiurk fought Svenkin and due to his Wind Magic not having the speed to bypass Svenkin's Skin Magic defense, he stood no chance.

My anime balls deep paladin level prediction is that yami killed his dad to save ichika and when he did she woke up and saw it and blamed it all on him and he being the chad he is didn’t want to burden his sister with the truth so he shouldered it and took it with him and when he arrived in the clover kingdom Julius probably reminded him of his father a lil bit (a crazy man obsessed with power) but in a good way instead of using his powers for selfish reasons Julius showed him that his power can protect those he care about, which is why he looks up to him so much

Maybe she knows Asta's Dad and heard of the country from him.
I hope Sukehiro (so unuatural calling him that, i prefer calling him Yami and his siter Ichika), goes there or when Asta goes back to the Clover Kingdom, Ichika goes with him, she and her brotehr reconsile, he learns Zetten and as the gigachad and talent he is, he masters it quickly, (helps a lot that he has already mastered the basics) and we see a powered up Yami fighting Lucius' right hand person and he solos. I mean, if he masters Zetten, he'll have Ki mastery, a demon heart and mana pool, extremely deadly spells that can destroy almost everyone if not all and his experience.
It seems obvious that when Asta IS ready to go back to Clover, Ichika will go with him to see her brother again, and apologize.

i have a question would it make sense if asta became wizard king, noelle becomes the next queen of the heart kingdom and yuno becomes the next king of spade?
Well, Asta and Yuno's case are both highly possible but Noelle is a noble of the Clover Kingdom so that reduces her chances to be the queen of the heart kingdom.
