Can Am Outlander 570 Installing 20 Inch Light Bar & Night Ride Demo

  • In this video, I install a 20 Inch Nilight Light Bar on my 2020 Can-Am Outlander 570 ATV. There is nothing advanced about installing this light bar on your ATV. You will need basic electric skills to splice and connect the electrical connectors along with a basic tool set.
    The size of connector I used was a 14 - 16 gauge, but that could be different depending on bolt size.
    Any questions or feedback please leave it in the comment box. I would love to hear from you!
    Click on the link to visit amazon and support my channel by making a purchase if you are interested in the same light bar. I greatly appreciate it!

    I am not affiliated with Nilight. This is my own work to show you the installation and demo of this lightbar. I am extremely satisfied!

    Lighting has really changed, those LED are truly amazing as they draw so little amps. Bring on the night.

      Mike wimmer it was nice to have a refreshing cool down from the rain storm, I am loving it too👍. I am seriously amazed by how well the lights performed. My light width must have been 60ft and length probably 100ft out. Then of course there was the residual light that isn’t bright, but enough to see things. I am happy with the results and you’re right, very low amp usage. I will plan a night ride real soon. I am looking forward to it.
      Thanks for watching. Take care.

      Hey there. Thank you and welcome to my channel. I’ll be honest, packing up camp with bears in the area was a camp break down that couldn’t happen fast enough. I can guarantee if I had a campfire the bears would have not got close or active. I think the smell of food and not fire brought them in, who knows. I just know it’s something I hope to not have a repeat experience lol. The light bar works great and I am happy to make the investment.
      What type of ATV are you thinking about getting? You are going to enjoy every mile of it. Thanks for watching.

      ManzanoMan Adventure - I agree with your assertion about getting out of there fast! I was nervous for you. I am looking most seriously at the CFMoto CForce 600 Touring. I need a two-up machine and love that it comes with EPS, winch, trailer hitch and wire bundle as well as hand guards and reverse lights for $6,599! Folks that have them seem to be loving them. We rented can-am Outlander Max 450 recently and loved them. I definitely want electronic power steering. I’ve had surgery on both shoulders so it will make steering on rough and rocky trails here in Utah much easier. 👍 cfmotousa.com/atvs/cforce-600-touring. Happy riding!

    I like what you showed. would like more detail about the wiring. I thought I could wire up light bar and not just splice into the existing wires but to a actual connection point at the rea of my 4x4 near the battery . Due to I am also adding a accessory fuse box to do other add ons. But I still want to control my new light bar with the aux key switch. I have a bombardier 2004 400 max

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures
      @ManzanoManATVAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not done a wiring job the way you are trying to do it. What is the type of light bar you are using? To wire a fuse box in the back near your battery should not be a hard job other than splicing the wires and reconnecting them. Then from there you can run your wires either down the right or left side of your ATV to your key switch to install the aux key.

    Why did you splice on those connectors vs the ones that came with the wiring harness kit?

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures
      @ManzanoManATVAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I spliced it because the hole on the wiring harness was bigger than I had wanted it to be. So I changed out the connector to have a better fit.

    Hey, thanks for this video. I am looking to purchase a Nilight and I am glad it mounted in the front in the pre-drilles holes, as I have a 2018 Outlander Max 570.
    Do you have any regrets about not using a mounting bracket to move the light forward a bit and maximize space on the front rack? Any reason you went 20" and not 12" for the light size? They also make 3 row lights. Did you consider those instead of 2 rows?

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures
      @ManzanoManATVAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there. Thanks for watching and reaching out. The Nilight light bar is a great product. I own the 20 which is the one on the Can Am and also a 3 row 12 inch light bar on my Polaris. I have no regrets not using a mounting bracket to move the light forward. I still have plenty of space on the front rack. In this video I have a big bag up front and it carried well th-cam.com/video/4hfeEoJL9Bs/w-d-xo.html.
      The reason I went with the 20 inch is because the pre drilled holes lined up perfectly so to be honest I didn't consider the 3 rows in my decision making.

  • @canamrider7195
    @canamrider7195 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I am looking to install a 12" Auxbeam light bar on my 570. Seeing how the preexisting holes line up perfectly for a 20" bar, I might consider that length instead. Are you going to go back in and cut that excessive wiring to length, for a more professional install? Did you look to pop out the mini plug cover just in front and below the instrument cluster. It looks like the right size for your on/off switch and no drilling.

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures
      @ManzanoManATVAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 20 inch works great for the front rack and it does not take up hardly any rack space. So I was happy where I placed it because I use my racks on the front and rear. I did give it much thought about splicing the extra cord to size. I should probably go ahead and clean it up to size. It is an easy job to do. I saw the instrument cluster you are talking about. The size was still small compared to the diameter I had for the mount. I think it was a 5/8 hole so I decided at that point I was going to have to drill regardless. So I went with the spot I choose.

  • @tylermoore8199
    @tylermoore8199 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How big of a hole did you drill? How did you get that switch to fit in the console

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures
      @ManzanoManATVAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I drilled about a 3/4 inch hole in the plastic. On the Can Am there is the right amount of room to have the switch fit there without hitting nothing.
