Aliens Versus Predator 2010 multiplayer

AVP2010 multiplayer.
Given the long matchmaking times and how people tend to drop out, its hard to get a match on this game for consoles and for that reason I hadn't bothered playing multiplayer in awhile. So suffice to say I was quite rusty.
When I attempted a multiplayer match, I was mostly just curious to see if the servers were still functioning and surprisingly they were. Pity though that a few players dropped out, leaving me with a player who was a spammer. XD

Is still don't understand why they added the ability to knock your opponent down with a counter attack on pc, but didn't do the same for consoles

You could still block an attack and then melee them which would knock them down (granted its a little silly for a human to be able to floor a predator or an alien with a simple melee attack) but still, it was possible to do so.
The PC version can benefit from mods to change gameplay, so maybe thats why there was a difference. I have never played the pc version so I wouldn' t know.

​@@dionysuschaos4867 so you're saying that was possible once. Its sad they removed it. Plus here i see the alien has 2 different animations for long range focus attack. The second animation still exists in the Singleplayer for PC but is not included in multiplayer. The devs left this game all over the place XD

@@Raizmorph You still can counter, you just got to block an incoming charge or melee attack and immediately hit them back with a melee.
It could be lag issues too, so the timing between the actions is not properly synced. This was a common problem in multiplayer. You could be running away and jump meters away from a predator/alien and somehow they still are able to perform the stealth/trophy kill as if they were just right behind you.

@@snsnshhhs663 I was rusty for sure plus the guy was a spammer. Smart disc over and over. I could have used the Alien's spammable to get more kills but its not my style. Either way it was still fun and I miss the multiplayer.

@@dionysuschaos4867 marines can still kill you and predators can throw projectiles, xenos really suck in multiplayer
