Not gonna lie, I don’t like Warhammer, but as a gun owner myself if you think that the bolter in this sounds like an AR-15 firing .223 - you either need your ears thoroughly checked for damage or have never actually fired that gun.

Coming from Rimmy's 40k videos, this looks so much better. God damn I love the banter. Also feels a bit more lax, like everyone knows they are there to be big metal banana's, cannon fodder, and toasters, and just have fun. Also, 5:00 that is the first time I've heard a Space Marine in actual panic xD
The problem with watching rimmys videos is that he's 90% of the time commanding the op so they tend to not fuck around as much. But if you watch stream vods from some of the squad leaders or just random people we tend to fuck around a lot. Also you cant really clap friendlies as much because the Cadian uses ace and not vanilla so it can be a pain/time consuming to get them back up.

@KR Prepare for a big-ass wall of text: Like I said, it's not that I _dislike_ 40K, it just isn't my cup of tea. Warhammer is not bad, but it's also built on the premise of being awesome over making sense, like much of the fantasy that inspired it. I'm a person who gets a kick out of studying how fictional societies function and could realistically operate. What's their logistics network like to get supplies to-and-from? How exactly is morale and order kept in the armed forces? What's the economic policies that allow the military industrial complex to flourish? What do civilians believe and feel? What reason do people have to fight and die, their motivations? Warhammer (in my opinion) suffers logically from being a "grim dark" story - much like the SCP Foundation, things are prioritized when written to be badass and cause misery-and-suffering and to be _dark_ more than they are written to make sense. Does that make 40K fans stupid or otherwise bad for enjoying it? Not at all, like previously said, Warhammer is built first-and-foremost to be awesome, and it does this well. If you can overlook all the logical and "realism" problems then more power to ya - _I_ just have a really hard time enjoying it. I could honestly make an entire 30 minute video essay explaining my problems with 40K's writing and universe, but I try to respect others' rights to enjoy something that I-myself don't, and I also don't want the drama. I already have 40K lore aficionados upset with _this video_ because we didn't abide by the lore while playing, and while that is a minority of the 40K community, they're loud enough that it persuades me to kinda avoid the franchise entirely - whether interacting positively or critically.
@Cillian Moran No idea. Arma 3 (and subsequently the mods made for it) are wacky and unstable, so it probably has to do with that. I don’t really understand the technical side of things enough to properly explain it.
@@CRDubU Thanks. It's been noticed in other Arma vids on Warhammer too. ( Rimmy's vid called "The Guard, Space Marines and Navy" and "Taniths First and Only". It never really was explained.
@@CRDubU It's because the space marine head is supposed to be set for the player in the profile. The Space Marine is a new skeleton which requires a custom head in this case. If you don't use one, you get the head in the crotch problem. It is stated in the mods description if I recall. Also I recommend using Imperial Conquest over Grimdark Armory. The IG uniforms look so much better and have other IG units (Tempestus Scion and Steel Legion at the moment).

Like I said, it's not that I _dislike_ 40K, it just isn't my cup of tea. Warhammer is not bad, but it's also built on the premise of being awesome over making sense, like much of the fantasy that inspired it.
I'm a person who gets a kick out of studying how fictional societies function and could realistically operate. What's their logistics network like to get supplies to-and-from? How exactly is morale and order kept in the armed forces? What's the economic policies that allow the military industrial complex to flourish? What do civilians believe and feel? What reason do people have to fight and die, their motivations?
Warhammer (in my opinion) suffers logically from being a "grim dark" story - much like the SCP Foundation, things are prioritized when written to be badass and cause misery-and-suffering and to be _dark_ more than they are written to make sense. Does that make 40K fans stupid or otherwise bad for enjoying it? Not at all, like previously said, Warhammer is built first-and-foremost to be awesome, and it does this well. If you can overlook all the logical and "realism" problems then more power to ya - _I_ just have a really hard time enjoying it.
I could honestly make an entire 30 minute video essay explaining my problems with 40K's writing and universe, but I try to respect others' rights to enjoy something that I-myself don't, and I also don't want the drama. I already have 40K lore aficionados upset with _this video_ because we didn't abide by the lore while playing, and while that is a minority of the 40K community, they're loud enough that it persuades me to kinda avoid the franchise entirely - whether interacting positively or critically.
Question: Why do the Spae Marines have their heads in their crotches?
@Cillian Moran No idea. Arma 3 (and subsequently the mods made for it) are wacky and unstable, so it probably has to do with that. I don’t really understand the technical side of things enough to properly explain it.
@@CRDubU Thanks. It's been noticed in other Arma vids on Warhammer too. ( Rimmy's vid called "The Guard, Space Marines and Navy" and "Taniths First and Only". It never really was explained.
@@CRDubU It's because the space marine head is supposed to be set for the player in the profile. The Space Marine is a new skeleton which requires a custom head in this case. If you don't use one, you get the head in the crotch problem. It is stated in the mods description if I recall. Also I recommend using Imperial Conquest over Grimdark Armory. The IG uniforms look so much better and have other IG units (Tempestus Scion and Steel Legion at the moment).
