The bolter used is a .998 Godwyn Pattern, which is a standard weapon for Space Marines (as much as anything involving Space Marines can be standard, anyway). It fires a .998 self-propelled explosive tipped round, which is roughly analogous to the 25x137mm round fired by the M242 Bushmaster chain gun, which is used most notably in the Bradley fighting vehicle
The .998 does not refer to the calibre of the Bolter shell. That's a mistake Badger makes in the video: Space Marine Bolters are chambered in .75 calibre, with rounds measuring roughly 20x50mm, and the Imperium also has smaller .50 calibre bolters that can be used by ordinary humans. Slamming an Orc so hard that the axe hovers back and the blood is swung off as it returns to the Force Sensitive Blood Marine is now my favorite finisher in video games.
"Dumbass weaboo space commys" is actually a fairly accurate summation of the Tau. Also, fun Astarte power is they can see peoples memories by eating them.
some can... some of the geneseeds have degraded to the point that various chapters have lost certain abilities that were supposed to be common amongst all Space Marines. Acid Saliva is another one that is missing from some chapters. Also, just to be complete some chapter's geneseed has mutated to the environment from which that chapter gains it's recruits. The space wolves and salamanders are good examples of this.
From what I was told one time in VRChat during a PVP event or so, the correct term is "Weaboo Space Socialist". To that, I say "Weaboo Space Socialist-Communists" or "Weaboo Space Communist-Socialists". I kind of like the Tau. They're the first race I picked for my first DoW: Soulstorm campaign.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine was exactly five years ahead of its time because Doom 2016 was extremely similar but vastly more successful. A buff guy in armor, on another planet, fighting demons, when your health gets low you stun an enemy and activate a special finishing move, there's a story but the protagonist doesn't really care, if you run low on ammo you bring out the chainsaw/sword, etc.

Imperium of Man: a dystopia empire of humanity. The good guys...despite being a mixture of the Holy Roman Empire and the Third Riech. Space Marine: super-human genetically enhanced and near immortal. Imperial Guard: regular humans. Disposable Emperor- incredibly powerful man with god-like powers and is ironically worshiped as a God nowadays. Currently in a state of undeath holding back the warp, which is.... Warp: remember hell in Doom? That but 1,000,000 times worse. Realm of chaos. Bad guys domain Chaos Marines: Evil space marines that serve chaos Weapons Bolters: basically a fully automatic RPGs. Chainsword. Exactly what it sounds like. And no, didn't rip off GoW. Warhammer 40K is twice as old as me. I'm 20 so yeah.... Power weapons: weapons covered with a energy field that separates what it comes in contact with at a molecular level. It's nuts. Thunder Hammer. You know power weapons? That but instead of cutting it just pounds you into nothing. Cause [redacted ] you. Not sure if I missed anything. Just know that warhammer is the most over the top sci-fi setting. If you had a dial of sci-fi ridiculousness and brutality Star wars and trek wound be between 2-4. Statecraft maybe 5. "Dumbass weaboo space commys" is actually a fairly accurate summation of the Tau. Also, fun Astarte power is they can see peoples memories by eating them.
I mean Tau literally had Gundams
some can... some of the geneseeds have degraded to the point that various chapters have lost certain abilities that were supposed to be common amongst all Space Marines. Acid Saliva is another one that is missing from some chapters. Also, just to be complete some chapter's geneseed has mutated to the environment from which that chapter gains it's recruits. The space wolves and salamanders are good examples of this.
Honestly tau look like fish people.
Just like weebs they have no idea how to use swords lol

For those intrigued by this. Here's the rundown
Orks: Orcs that can salvage anything to work for them and have cockey accents
Xenos: human term for anything alien.
Imperium of Man: a dystopia empire of humanity. The good guys...despite being a mixture of the Holy Roman Empire and the Third Riech.
Space Marine: super-human genetically enhanced and near immortal.
Imperial Guard: regular humans. Disposable
Emperor- incredibly powerful man with god-like powers and is ironically worshiped as a God nowadays. Currently in a state of undeath holding back the warp, which is....
Warp: remember hell in Doom? That but 1,000,000 times worse. Realm of chaos. Bad guys domain
Chaos Marines: Evil space marines that serve chaos
Weapons
Bolters: basically a fully automatic RPGs.
Halo is a 5.
40K keeps turning the dial pass 10 until it breaks. Welcome to the grimdark future. Now go purge in the name of the Emperor
Drizzt Iley WH40K isn't sci-fi, since there is warp and daemons and related stuff, it's more like techno fantasy, like Warhammer Fantasy Battles (Age of Sigmar now) pimped with genetics, chainswords, baneblades and giant piloted titans
That’s a lot of lore
I'm gonna channel my inner space commie and say the Farsight Enclaves T'au are the closest things to "good guys" in the setting. Don't get me wrong, Imperium is cool, but... not the good guys.
Dat Brass
The Imperium of Man are the good guys. They are fighting for the survival of mankind... Oh, and better dead than red (found 40k through Fire Warrior on the PS2, Tau will always be one of my favorite factions).

Artuurs Z. I guess they found it clunky coming from 3rd person cover shooters like Gears of War. But you tend to be clunky when you are an 8-foot tall embodiment of Human pride.
I know, it's one of my favorite games. When ever W40k tries something different people always want to try and tare down the people that like it. Take Space Hulk, Blood Bowl, Fire Warrior and Kill Team for example. All dramatically different games and genres, but all were handled with such care and dedication they're actually pretty good games.
because you play an ultra-smurf in the campaign, pretty much the only legit reason to bash it, mp was hella fun, the sp was also hella fun, it's just a shame it didn't sell well because we totally need a sequel
i mean they really arent clunky and are faster and have faster reactions then any other 3rd or first person character but i agree it was fun just saying they arent very clunky.
well that's mostly just soulstorm, every other expansion had fucking top class quality voice acting, but that's what happens when you go to another developer and make weird decisions, like making a worse version of dark crusade's campaign. winter assault is still one of my favorites.
