We hired Dana to come play at our house concert about 8 years ago. I asked him to play this song (Dream Darling) because it was one of the first ones I learned as a young girl just learning some Shake Russell/Dana Cooper songs. I couldn't believe it...after all these years..this great songwriter/entertainer was in OUR house singing one of my favorite songs! I'll never forget it. Thanks, Dana, for that surreal experience.
I did a version of this many years ago on my Tascam 4 track reel to reel with layers of harmonies like the record....Still love it today...Just tried playing it again, and i can't hit the high notes like I used to!
